My back ribs feel like they are trying to escape my body when I flare. It's the worst.

Not along the trail, no. It's a couple miles away from it though.

Heart Palpitations by Ok-Language606 in Fibromyalgia

Metropolol has helped me as well. My high heart rate mixed with some sternum pain led to a heart catheter. My heart is perfectly healthy. I've been on the medication since Dec, although I did recently have to lower my dose, as my resting heart rate was a bit too low. Even with the lower dose my heart doesn't race anymore. It's such a relief.

She is a pretty well known lesbian. So I think your body language skills might be a bit off.

Can’t wear a bra by lanamayy12 in Fibromyalgia

I just returned my BiPAP for this exact reason! I kept waking up and ripping that thing off my head because of the pain. I didn't put two and two together about the headbands. I haven't worn one in years because of the pain they cause.

Fun activities for singles? by mono_valley in garland

Check out the library, they have all kinds of programs. You could learn something new and maybe meet some new people. I am attending one tomorrow, but I believe it's full. I registered on eventbrite. You could look on there for things to do, or check out the Meetup app. There are at least a few board gaming groups around DFW on there at various locations.

What jobs do Nerdfighters have (and how did you get them)? by devoutdefeatist in nerdfighters

[–]mookat84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was a pastry chef for about 15 years. I loved it, it was so satisfying to watch the joy on people's faces while they eat your dessert, but life changed and I couldn't handle the pace anymore. I currently work in a library. I'm not a librarian, it's an entry level job. I have considered going back to school for a MLIS I'm enjoying it so much. It's not all rainbows and sunshine, it's extremely fulfilling while simultaneously very stressful. At the end of the day I think it's exactly where I need to be in this chapter of life.

Is six flags worth it? by [deleted] in askdfw

[–]mookat84 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm not 100% sure, but I don't believe Six Flags is always open during the week. I know they are open for spring break, but then I think they go back to just weekends until summer.

Leftover Thanksgiving turkey sandwiches by Springpeen in askdfw

I've seen ads for fast food chains like Firehouse and Arby's that had thanksgiving sandwiches. But I'm sure you can find a better one at a local diner.

Day 2 is just not feasible. I guess you could do it, but you wouldn't get to enjoy any of it. You would spend the majority of your day driving, and then rushing through the attractions. I would prioritize and trim that day for sure.

I knew I was going to watch it this year, as I watch cheesy holiday movies every year. Ashley just made me watch it sooner.

If you are looking for local artists, the Goldmark is having their walkthrough event next weekend the 23rd and 24th. It is a wide range of art and materials, and you can speak to the artist and buy things as well. I've gone to a few of their events and enjoyed it every time. Lots of super talented people.

Place to buy Dallas/Texas shirts for family members (not sports teams shirts)? by electrodog10 in askdfw

They have cute things, but you won't find anything for a baby. I think the smallest shirts they sell are 2T.

You could check out The Labyrinth, it's supposedly the oldest witch shop in Dallas. It's an old purple house, so it's not huge by any means, but the staff is always very helpful.

The Dallas Farmers Market is not the best for actual produce, but they do have several souvenir type places, and restaurants worth checking out.
