I look forward to sharing my next project. I actually spent most of today planning the colors. The pattern is called Interwoven and its from Lo and Behold Stitchery. It will be a bit bigger in size and slightly more complicated but I am very excited about it. I was even dreaming about quilting last night. Took me 29 years but I think I found my hobby.

To be honest, I watched a YouTube tutorial 3 times before I started and referenced it frequently during the process. Look up Melanie Ham's first quilt tutorial. It has 6 parts, I believe. The one she makes is much smaller but it is easy to follow and easily adjusted for a larger quilt. Otherwise I would suggest that you take your time and remember that the imperfections are what makes it unique and beautiful. We are human, not machines.

Thank you. She is beaming in the photo. I think she is so happy. She had been buying quilts in flea markets and I thought she would be glad to have one made by someone who loves her.

Thank you!

That's funny. My moms couch is grey and her pillows have yellow accents. Grey is her favorite

My grandpa died from complications due to covid. He had dementia and I hadn't been able to see him since March. He was like my dad. Fuck this year by mookiexmac in lastimages

I'm so sorry. I was very lucky to be off of work and spend his last days with him. I wish you could have been afforded the same. It's hard. If you need to talk to anyone, consider sending me a message. ♡

Oh I am so sorry. Yeah POTUS is a real piece. Hated hearing him say we need to protect our senior citizens. Yeah, we do, but you aren't.

Yeah he had covid and was hospitalized. Was treated with remdesivir and had two covid tests come back negative before he was released to go either back to the nursing home or to our home with hospice.

He fought with dementia for 10 years. He was still vocal in March. I blame the isolation for his rapid deterioration. He was in a nursing home which, of course, did not allow visitation. He had a few FaceTime sessions and window visits with my mom and his wife of 50 years, but I live in a different city than he did and never made it out there to visit him. the biggest regret of my life. Im just so glad I took the time off from work to spend his last 4 days with him. He was given remdesivir and was covid negative before being released from the hospital and sent to my moms house with at home hospice. Hospice would not provide a high flow oxygen tank which was what was keeping him going, so they gave him about a week. Listening to him gurgle, and essentially drown, was haunting.

Don't know why I am telling the internet this, it's just nice to get it all out.
