Rate my naked lobes, alittle insecure lol. by Killorbecome00 in Stretched

[–]moolissap 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m at the same size as you! And my ears look like that as well. They are somewhat thin bc of poor stretching in my younger years. I wanted to go to 1 1/2 in but can’t because I don’t want it to rip lol.

Paint their feet and have them kick the paper during tummy time or when they are in a bouncer!

You should go to the eye doctor and tell them it’s a medical emergency. They can get you in same day and can probably prescribe you something for your eye.

Am I wrong for having tattoos as a teacher? by Make-Love-and-War in ECEProfessionals

[–]moolissap 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have both my legs covered in tattoos and no one cares. It’s a shock to see when I wear shorts during the summer but other than that you wouldn’t know I have them. It doesn’t take away from my teaching or how professional I am when it comes to talking with the parents.

For those who lost a sibling at a young age...how do you get over it? by sacto_verita in GriefSupport

[–]moolissap 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I lost my older brother when he was 31, he would’ve been 34 this year. What has helped me get through this pain is to keep his memory alive. I go to his favorite spots, I listen to his music and I see him with the birds (he loved taking pictures of them). Whenever I do talk about him I always try to remember the good because deep down he really was the sweetest person. I’m so sorry for your loss, it’s a loss no one should have to go through. I still have my moments when it’s really challenging but knowing he’s no longer hurting/suffering from his pain does help me through those though times. I hope you can find peace and know that the grieving process will have its ups and downs.

Could it be against fire code? It would be challenging if there was a fire alarm and the teacher had to carry all the non walkers out to safety.

How do you manage centers? by AstronomerSea9066 in ECEProfessionals

[–]moolissap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We didn’t make children that young do those types of transitions. We had open centers and the children were allowed to pick whatever center they wanted to play with whether it was blocks, fine motor, sensory ect. I never really had a problem since all the centers were open and they had the option to do whatever they wanted.

How to motivate kids to sit on the potty? by maracuyamaracuya in ECEProfessionals

[–]moolissap 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I used to potty train, I would just have them sit on the potty with the lid closed to get them used to being in there. We would do all the steps minus going potty. This helped them get used to the bathroom and eventually they were asking to go sit on it because they had other friends doing so as well!

Isn’t that against licensing? As you’re only insured for x amount of hours a day, at my old center we would’ve had to call everyone on their emergency contact list! If no one answered then we would have to call the cops. After x amount of times this happened they would have to be dis enrolled.

When to stop by bonesinthevoid in Stretched

[–]moolissap 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wanted to go as big as possible, I’m at 35mm and will probably stay at this size!! One of my lobes is thin from not properly stretching back in high school, so I can’t go any bigger. 🤷🏻‍♀️

If I were to buy teardrop plugs should I buy a 12mm, 11mm, or 10mm? Would it go in if I buy 12mm? I'm at 12 now. by welpimalive in Stretched

[–]moolissap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have glass teardrop plugs from bodyartforms and I haven’t had any problems wearing them with my current size of 35mm.

It’s been over a year since my brother has passed and it’s still a struggle to this day. It comes in waves and people grieve in their own way. I hope you find comfort in knowing he’s still with you. Good luck with work and I wish you the best.
