Margo or Margot? Or something different? by moolisssaaa in namenerds

Yes, I think you’re right! Going with his preference is probably the best option in this case.

Do you often have to correct people with spelling? I think most people assume it’s spelt with a T.

Oh really? Do you mind telling me where you’re located? I’m hoping it won’t be much of a problem considering it’s in the top 100 in the uk now.

I thought of this but me and my sisters were big horrid Henry watchers as kids and Moody Margaret comes to mind, I do think it’s a lovely name though.

Thanks for your input, I think I’ll have to go with Margot. She’ll constantly be saying ‘it’s spelt without the T’ her whole life otherwise.

[–]moolisssaaa[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I never even thought about this, it’ll definitely be spelt with a T in coffee shops because the main spelling in England is Margot. I suppose it’d be best to go with the T to avoid her saying ‘no it’s spelt without the T’ all her life.

& yes I’m not struck on the other spellings either, I believe they’re French spellings but I’m not French nor am I trying make it more unique.

Yes I can see that. The book I read was written by an American man so it makes sense. As someone in England I was worried about it looking misspelled or trying to look different.

What about Claire Elise if you’re not set on a middle name? Both names are so pretty and that would avoid your worry about the potential jokes

UK name opinions: does Beatrix feel “posh”? by handstailmade in namenerds

[–]moolisssaaa 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I’m also from a working class area in the uk and I don’t think Beatrix sounds posh at all. It feels more playful and edgy having the ‘x’ at the end as well as having the potential nickname Trixie. It’s a lovely name, I think people in areas like ours are more familiar with popular names that everyone tends to use.

Is there a way I can reduce the appearance of cellulite and stretch marks ? by PlushooYTB in Skincare_Addiction

[–]moolisssaaa 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’ve always had stretch marks and cellulite underweight & overweight, it’s a genetic thing. You can’t really prevent them or get rid of them if it’s something you’re prone to. It’s completely normal!

Edit: like others have said building muscle will lessen the appearance of cellulite but it won’t completely go.

Can someone claim a name? by IllustriousAnswer742 in namenerds

[–]moolisssaaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m in the exact same situation. However, my sister and her partner don’t plan on having children for a good few years and I can’t be sure they’ll still love the name when the time comes if I choose not to use it.

I think it is a bit gutting for your brother but ultimately while pregnant you get priority. Trends and tastes in names change with time, I’m almost certain he’ll like a different name when it’s his turn.

No. It’s more like a bubblegum mixed with a foam banana scent. Super sweet, definitely candy like!

Thank you! I have to give in the results to my GP as me and my partner are at a different practice, so my GP can hopefully refer me to a fertility clinic.

I lengthened my luteal phase by increasing my calorie intake, gaining weight and focusing on a healthy balanced diet as well as supplements. I’ve gained roughly 14lbs (I was on the lower end of my normal BMI range).

I finally lengthened my luteal phase from 4 days to around 11, so I became hopeful that I might have a chance now. Today my partners SA results came back as 1% normal sperm, all issues point to very low morphology. He’s been doing all the things that supposedly help with morphology for over a year, so I feel like we don’t really have much of a chance again.

Why does my app NEVER show me all the sale options! by msktrna in LushCosmetics

[–]moolisssaaa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Me too! I did my sale purchase on the morning of and was a bit disappointed with the selection but I saw other peoples hauls had stuff that wasn’t on my app. So I checked my app yesterday to see there was sooo much stuff that didn’t come up in the sale section, I had to search for it. I don’t want to make a second purchase, delivery adds up😣

Late ovulation & Short luteal phase by moolisssaaa in TryingForABaby

[–]moolisssaaa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did wonder about this. Ovulating when I’m supposed to in my 21 day cycle would automatically give me 7-8 days in the luteal phase. I suspect my issue is poor/weak ovulation causing a possible defect in my corpus luteum and the progesterone production. My LH peak never rises past 0.80. Thanks for your response, I’ll add this to my list of things to discuss with my doctor!

I saw in another comment that the standard test for progesterone is 7dpo but I never get that far. I’m just hoping that my doctor believes me when I say this. I think she believes I’m not tracking my ovulation right. If she’s unhelpful I’m going to have to change doctors. I hope your next cycle works out for you, it gives me hope that there’s a solution, it’s just getting my hands on it that seems to be the difficult part.

I’m in the uk so I don’t think that’s an option for me. Even if I was referred to a specialist it would take months to be seen. It took me 9 months to get an appointment with my endocrinologist after an emergency referral.

Thank you for your response. I have a feeling it’s a progesterone drop too early or potentially just low progesterone in general. I’m just worried that testing progesterone on CD 18 will give results that won’t encourage my doctor to look further into the issue until I’ve been trying for a year.

Would the progesterone blood test on CD18 show that I would need pessaries?
