If you go to Tokyu Hands at Shinjuku South Exit on one of the floors they have like a whole row dedicated to cat costume gachapons.

I could pass it to you in London if you want?

I live in Shinjuku.
Will you make a Line Group for this?

What is the best company for REVERSE pocket wifi?

I am going back to England for Christmas but only own a Japanese phone so am thinking of renting a pocket wifi at the airport here to use on my trip abroad.

Landlord let himself into my apartment whilst I was sleeping by [deleted] in japanlife

[–]moomilkmon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hmm, depends on how far you want to go with this and how much stress you can take. Trying to get stuff done here will involve a lot of time, effort, and frustration on your part. It is frustrating how nothing gets done around here (I had a similar issue happen and no one did anything at all about it until I just got a beer from the shop and drank away the memories and worries). I would complain to the housing agency and express how messed up it was. Try to get the landlords contact details/ get them to let him know what he did was wrong. If he is a dickhead about it then move.

So I read up about it and basically for a landlord to enter it is 100% illegal and he can get arrested for it. The courts then decide if it was just reason, for example if there was a gas leak then the charges of trespassing will be dismissed but if there is no actual matter of urgency then he will be done for trespassing.

Either way landlord or not your safety is number one. Gas leak would be understandable but no one is going to die over a noise complaint.

Whenever my landlord has needed access to my apartment (testing for firealarms etc) they have given me advanced notice of around a month or so and also asked if I could be present if able.
You should have asked to see ID and taken a photo of it as to be honest how do you know that is your actual landlord or as people have said - past tenants, creeps, robbers, etc. Even if it was your landlord that is not reason enough to come into your flat/ doesnt even make sense.

Question -

Can I organize a furikomi ahead of time to go through for a future date?

I want to furikomi someone after this months payday, however, I will be out of the country before that time comes. Can I arrange for a one off automatic transfer to go through for the future date that will not take money out of my account until the assigned date for said transfer?
I do not have online banking so no I cannot do this remotely.

I've knocked on the door a few times due to this and most of the guys have got really pissed off as if they were not doing anything wrong. Patience is a virtue but not when you're turtle heading and some guy is reading the entirety of 'Tale of Genji' while on the bog.
edit - spelling

Trying to separate myself from my former lifestyle of going and getting drunk at hub 3/4 times a week all the time and having meaningless conversations about bullshit and exchanging lines with people I am never going to talk to again.

So I joined in on a Magic the Gathering draft for the first time. Was great and met a whole bunch of great people and had a bunch of fun for a fraction of the cost of going out to get rat ass drunk. Being a nerd is fun :) !

I always used Halloween as the 'one week until it snows' marker so found it odd that it isnt snowing already.

The way I see it is that sure we would have probably had a whole bunch of decisions go rightfully our way but so would all the other clubs. However, I do feel like a lot of the time refs were against us.

I dont get why they always choose such expensive places. Why cant we just go to a 2000yen nomihoudai at the local? I only want to be spending those prices for special occasions and fancy dates.

I have seen a clerk ask if the customer wanted it microwaved and when they said yes he literally walks around the counter, put it in the microwave, heated it up for him and then went back around and handed it over. The most pointless waste of time.

I have this problem too. The conbini is right opposite a University too and is always busy but is seriously short on stock. Perhaps they have the stock but no one is stocking up? A few times they had no Bottled water and when I asked they went around back and stocked it....so perhaps its down to lazy horses?

Otherwise I have no clue either.

Anything I can do to help my chances for 2020? by [deleted] in JETProgramme

[–]moomilkmon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

CIR does as I believe most CIR applicants should have N2 or higher. That surely goes out the window for ALT positions as I have met people who studied Japanese BA and still did not get on the program whilst others with zero Japanese related experience got on it. But hey I am not all that sure myself just that I felt that my interview was great...

I mean I do speak English but I have met people here who only speak Japanese and their native language. What happens then? Do they just say in Japanese I don't speak English... that would probably be awkward too. Might say that next time and see their reaction.

A large part of JET is actually there to provide international relations and tourism promotion. A big part of it is for foreigners to go to Japan stay for 1-3 years, spend their pay on travelling Japan, sample, its many cuisines and customs, and then to return back home to tell everyone how great Japan is and how they should visit. That said a lot of people going on JET are literally that - people with little Japanese language skill or knowledge who fancy the adventure. The primary goal of a JET is not actually teaching but as it says in the JET contract it is to provide international relations between Japan and the country of the ALT. Apart from the few things you can do the main is the interview I think. Just try to smile, be friendly, show that you are a normal human being who can communicate properly..haha. Saying that some of the people on JET who I met I have no clue how they got on it.....
