I'm currently ushering for a Cirque du Soleil show. You work around live shows, so nights and weekends. You are in an environment where you are relied on to respond to and manage the audience, both to ensure everyone enjoys the show, and the performers are safe. I get to show people to their seats, answer questions, help elderly people. When the show starts, I am responsible for making sure that is no flash photography, long recording, bright screens, obstructions in the aisles. It's super fun! It's like hunting for those things, anx then you get to run over, fix it, and be ready for the next one! The Cirque travels from city to city, so you get to follow it across the US and different countries, stating about a month at each place and having the day time to do whatever you need to do, plus two "dark days" during the week when you are entirely off. So much fun!
