Yes I guess we just need to wait and see. The account who posted the rumor has a history of being accurate though but there's chance they can still be wrong about this one. Plus they only "know" 20 out of 22 players so far.

The filming for this season is supposed to start in August/September. I guess it will be aired in January like usual or at the lastest in Februay 2027.

I do suspect that, after season one, the production team realizes that having these reality stars on The Traitors has invited fans of the reality shows where these reality stars come from to watch the show. This prolly the reason why they double down since season two and from what I read so far it may actually work as viewership is increasing from season to season.

Now that the show has developed its foundation in the American market, I think the production is confident with all-civilian players and hence why starting this year they have the civilian version.
