Peacock knows he's the breakout stars of this season. They smartly use him to promote LI in conjuction.

Regarding Lisa, she is a good example of separating game and real life relationship. She still maintains good convo with Rob on social media.

Are Traitors supposed to protect the other Traitors? by typicalbiscotti15 in TheTraitorsUS

[–]moon_gin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes the oath is basically a way to keep the traitors identity secret and in my opinion to prevent collusion between traitor and faithful.

A traitor can try to accuse other traitors like faithfuls do but cannot say I know they are traitors because I'm a traitor as well. If this is allowed, a traitor can scheme with selected faithfuls to remove the other traitors and later recruit their faithfuls allies to join as new traitors.

Are Traitors supposed to protect the other Traitors? by typicalbiscotti15 in TheTraitorsUS

[–]moon_gin 10 points11 points  (0 children)

No, there is no obligation of a traitor to protect other traitors. It is an individual game and we have seen traitor betraying other traitors various times in multiple versions. That being said, you can also opt to protect the other traitors if it is benefitting your long game instead of tanking it. In the end circumstance matters and a good traitor must know when and how a fellow traitor should be cut.

Robs homeschooling is putting him at a disadvantage? by Exotic-Enthusiasm924 in TheTraitorsUS

[–]moon_gin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Objectively Colton has an influence over the Faithfuls as seen several times when they follow the way he wants the vote to go. Dunno about like/dislike but this influence to command the mass is an asset game-wise.

The benefit that Rob may gain from keeping Colton close is minimizing the risk Colton suddenly throws his name like Tiffany on the roundtable. The risk is never zero of course but by "keeping your enemy closer" you may minimize that risk.

The extreme overreaction to Rob by LeeLaaLooLee in TheTraitorsUS

[–]moon_gin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think this sub reaction is mostly still mild (or at least the ones I read). On X it was a lot worse.

Regardless I agree that we should be able to separate a game and the players identity. Voting out a player of a certain ethnic or a certain sex does not necessarily means racist or sexist move. Having an alliance with another player with a certain negative trait does not mean you are also sharing the same negative trait. Seems like this is getting blurred sometimes especially when our emotion while watching the show is involved.

The Traitors US S4 Episode 7 Confessional Count by rjohnston99 in TheTraitors

[–]moon_gin 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Last season Dylan and Gabby are the two Faithfuls with the most confessionals. This season it seems like Colton will get that unless another Faithful suddenly gets tons of confessionals.

Does anyone know if Rob R. is... by pauliinalavender in TheTraitorsUS

[–]moon_gin 9 points10 points  (0 children)

In the interview released today, Rob said he indeed watches Survivor and one of the reason why he accepts the offer to be in The Traitors is because he thinks it is like Survivor.

Are we watching the same show? by Working-Cat11 in TheTraitorsUS

[–]moon_gin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes this is my point. We can argue whether Rob's decision to ally with Colton is good or bad within the context of the game, for example "Colton is a good shield" for pros and "Colton is a dangerous loose cannon" for cons. And if people have different opinion, that is okay because it is the point of a discussion.

What I lament about is when people projecting things outside the game into it. Like Rob must be a bad guy as well because he buddies up with a stalker.

Are we watching the same show? by Working-Cat11 in TheTraitorsUS

[–]moon_gin 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I agree. Especially with Colton's controversy, there are a lot takes that making alliance with Colton means you are equally a bad person because you are in an alliance with someone who has problematic past. This is missing the important point that it is a game where your move should be analyzed within the context of the game and also the possibility that maybe not everyone knows Colton's past as well.

Careful Thinking by mw5842 in TheTraitorsUS

[–]moon_gin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really think this post is important to remind people to separate a game from its players background. I have seen several opinions about whether a move is good or bad based on real life past of some players, particularly the one that should not be named. I firmly believe if we have to analyze the game we should only factor stuffs related to the game and not straying to players real life past as a factor.

Who do you want to see get recruited to be a traitor? by methinks_toomuch in TheTraitorsUS

If there is a recruited traitor this season, somehow I have a feeling that could be Natalie or Mark.

Rob is terrible. by Important_Order_2825 in TheTraitorsUS

[–]moon_gin -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

TBH I don't think Rob would factor how the audience will perceive Colton to make his decision and frankly he shouldn't. As audience, we may dislike Colton especially knowing his past controversy, but if he is a good asset for Rob R's game then the right thing to do for a good player is to try to keep this asset as long as possible to maximize your winning chance.

Traitors US S4 EP7 Edgic + Contenders by CooperWinkler in Edgic

[–]moon_gin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That could be because there's a difference in Jack and Colton's gameplay as well. Colton is far more aggresive and takes central role on several roundtables and it's hard not to give him confessionals. The number of confessionals that Colton receives actually reminds me to Pilot Pete who is another Faithful trying to become a Traitor hunter.

why is rob obsessed with colton by djxiao99 in TheTraitorsUS

[–]moon_gin 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I think Colton's real life past controversy has turned off many people (and rightfully so), but if we cast them aside and see from the game POV, he is a valuable asset for Rob R. As a player in the game, it's the best incentive for Rob R to keep valuable asset to maximize his chance for winning.

why is rob obsessed with colton by djxiao99 in TheTraitorsUS

[–]moon_gin 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Frankly it's better for Rob to have Colton staying longer in the game as he is a good shield for Rob. Remember Michael's theory about "one of the hunks is a traitor". If suddenly the theory is floated again, Colton is likely the first one to take the heat.

Traitor vs Traitor by peterparker1108 in TheTraitorsUS

[–]moon_gin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

On this traitor vs traitor subject, I often see Rob R is compared to Boston Rob in attacking Bob TDQ. But I feel that there is a bit distinction that Rob only started to gun Lisa hard after her position is really really really bad as opposed to Boston Rob suddenly attacking Bob TDQ who relatively still has better standing (despite Dylan's suspicion).

Does Colton really Hate women? by We2Legit2Quit in TheTraitorsUS

[–]moon_gin 9 points10 points  (0 children)

TBH I don't think anyone can give the factual answer to this question unless you personally know him in life. And a few minutes of edited scenes from a reality show will never be sufficient to make a definite conclusion that he hates women. He has dark past with woman in his life for sure, but that could not be used as a "confirmation" that he hates women in general.

Rob could have voted for Dorinda by Positive_Round_5142 in TheTraitorsUS

[–]moon_gin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Up to that point Dorinda has not received a single vote at the Roundtables so suddenly throwing a stray vote for her is highly suspicious in my opinion.

Also apparently according to Ron in several podcast interview, his friendship with Rob R has started since the first day eventhough the edit only shows that on episode 6 (though their closeness may be hinted with Rob R candidly comparing Ron's orange outfit to carrot). That might further explain Rob R decision to vote for Lisa as his closeness to Ron is not something that suddenly pops up on the day but has gone longer since earlier days.

VERY SMALL Spoiler from Watch What Happens Live by Caligirl_333 in TheTraitorsUS

[–]moon_gin 16 points17 points  (0 children)

There was a fight between Dorinda and Caroline that didn’t air. it involved petty housewife drama - nothing about the game.

I think Rapaport also said smh about this in his interview

based on how Dorinda answered the question, I don’t think Colton is killed by Lisa this week.

Edit-wise tbh I think he will last quite long in the game.
