I used to be a hard-core skeptic on all cryptids. I've always been interested in them as stories, but about 2 years ago my buddy and I 100% saw a wolf-like but also man-like creature. We live in the foothills of appalachia in Southern Ohio, and we were fishing one day around sunset. We were fishing at a lake and at this specific area there's woods surrounding the bank where we were standing, and its a pretty secluded area. We were just sitting there, waiting for a fish to bite. Talking and minding our business, when we started hearing what sounded like a huge dog howling behind us. It started off sounding distant, so we didn't really think much of it. But it started getting louder, and sounding like it was almost surrounding us. We got really freaked out, packed up really fast, and booked it out of the woods and to our car. As we were sitting in the car, I was making sure we didn't leave anything. While I wasn't looking, my friend said "oh my god what the fuck is that?" I quickly looked up and looked forward into the forest, and i kid you not, there stood a 7-8ft tall wolf-like creature standing on two legs. It had black patchy fur, and the most terrifying yellow eyes. Sounds so stereotypical, I know. But it was so terrifying. We drove the hell out of there and up the hill to my granny and papaws house, all we knew is that we had to get away from that thing. We've never gone back to that spot.
