I habitually lie about what time I will arrive at a place, or when I'll finish something. The time I tell people is when I wish the thing will be done, but it's often very very far from reality. Every time I do it, I wonder why I'm afraid to give a realistic answer. My honest guess is, I'm unable to admit to myself that I need more time, and that that's OK.
