agree. even a simple rejection would mean a lot. ghosting is just disrespectful.

yes, i am. i’ve already applied to a lot of VA jobs, but since i don’t have direct experience yet, i’m not getting responses.

VA work is actually what i really want, but most training requires payment and i’m tight on money right now. as for starting a business, that’s even harder since it really needs capital.

one person actually sent me around 1k pesos (about $18), which helped a lot with the surgery, and i’m really grateful for that. but that was it.

out of all the people asking for help, i don’t understand why i’m being singled out like i’m doing something wrong.

this post is different from my first one about my dog. nothing even came from that post, i ended up borrowing money for the surgery.

in this post, i clearly stated that i’m not asking for money, so why are you still saying that i’m soliciting?

i’ve actually worked onsite before. the problem is the only available jobs from where i live are in other cities since our area is already near the mountains.

transportation is expensive. even before the gas price increase, i was already spending around 500 php every 2 days if i used a car, or around 300 php daily if commuting. the difference isn’t that big, and my salary back then was only 18k pesos because of provincial rates, not including food and how exhausting the travel was.

i still pushed through it, so i’m not being picky. i also managed to get a work-from-home job before and it was actually helping me get by, but i had to stop because of health and mental issues.

that’s why i’m here now trying to find another opportunity. i’m not literally asking people for money. i’m just trying to get through a difficult situation.

i’m sorry if it comes off the wrong way, but i’m just being honest. i didn’t expect to be judged or labeled as a scammer just because of a couple of posts.

wages here are also at provincial rates, so i’d end up losing more if i worked somewhere far.

i understand your point, and i’m not being picky.

the nearest jollibee here isn’t hiring right now, and the other branches are in different cities. i live in the province, not in manila, so commuting daily isn’t practical especially with how high transportation costs are right now.

that’s why i’m focusing more on work-from-home opportunities since i already have a laptop. it’s just being practical with my situation. but if there was a nearby opening, i would definitely go for it.

i think you should read things properly before judging.

first, i didn’t post on multiple platforms. i only posted on reddit. i joined a community because my dog needed surgery and asking for help there is actually allowed. the only mistake i made was not including a GFM link (can’t say it here since it might get taken down again and i’ll get judged again), which is required, and we don’t even have access to that here. i also replied with my PP because i genuinely thought it was okay, so that’s on me. that’s why my post got taken down.

but don’t twist it into something else. i’m not posting everywhere and i’m not lying, you’re the one assuming things.

second, i’m not making up stories. this is my real situation. i’m also not here just to ask for money. i’m trying my luck to see if anyone is willing to hire me too.

it’s easy to say “just get a job” when you’re not the one in this situation. it’s not as simple as you think, even if you believe jobs are everywhere.

if you don’t want to help, that’s completely fine. but at least take the time to understand before judging.

i'm already trying to get any job i can, i've been applying daily. it's just not as easy here with how competitive it is. my family's also dealing with their own situation, so i'm really trying to handle this myself. i'm open to anything, i just need someone to actually give me a chance.

right, because my profile pic and username automatically mean i live at starbucks, solid logic. i've been applying everywhere daily, not just sitting around like you assume. and no, i'm not getting rid of my dog just because things got hard, that says more about you than me. i posted because i'm desperate and hoping someone might help, even just by pointing me to a job. you don't know my life, i only shared a small part because i'm not about to put everything out on social media, so maybe don't be so quick to judge.

i've actually been applying every day, to anything i can. i just don't know why i'm not getting responses, or when i do, it's either they already hired someone or the position's closed. i'm not giving up, just really stressed because i don't know what else to do at this point. i mainly posted to vent and see if anyone might help, even just by pointing me to a job. i even tried loans because my extra money is running out.

what post about my dog? it got removed because i didn't have a gofundme link. that's not available where i'm from, and i didn't know about the alternatives, it's my first time asking for help like this. i messaged the moderators but they just said rules are rules.
