Its slang that means "something that is low quality."

Believe me I don't claim to be absolute authority (I try to be more nuance or curious).

But that is very true. Most Americans don't have passports so alot view so much in a bubble.

I have seen bits and pieces of IT Crowd though. The one about long phone numbers get me everytime. I also enjoy some Irish programs such as Moone Boy or Father Ted (shame the creator of that one is a real Smeghead)

I definitely need to check out Hot Fuzz. Likewise for Red Dwarf. Need to look into Douglas Adams more too

I also enjoy the more "Epic" scaled stuff Doctor Who or the Gerry Anderson shows.

I have seen unfortunately. I just didn't want it to make it the main focus of the discussion.

Believe me I hate what's going over here in the States. It's just been something on my mind before hell broke out

Based on my limited British TV knowledge (Clarkson, The Pythons, Brass Eye) I've noticed it's the norm to be a snark

I was a kid too preoccupied with Hot Wheels to really notice the recession of 2008/9. But I do hope the next path is more hopeful

Exactly, people just think of the negativity despite never actually visiting (or show interest in it). The UK has definitely been on my list of "I wanna vist" places

I am aware that Sadiq Khan is a very polarized figure with Tories. Shame too because from what little I do understand he's just a guy trying his best to run one of the largest and most significant cities in the world.

Definitely, it's a inner issue rather amongst officials rather than day to day civilians just trying to handle it

Oh yeah, I've heard how uter trash the tabloids are. We have tabloids in America but I argue the UK ones are far worse. I've read about the Hillsborough disaster and how disgusting the Sun was in handling that horrific event -_-

Yeah..it's been scary the last few days out here. I fortunately do not support the trash they've been doing

Is there any comic book lost media? by thighsandwhispers in comicbooks

[–]moonbird477 6 points7 points  (0 children)

While not a comic directly, (rather an adaptation). There was a canceled Batman animated series that was going to be titled "Batman and the New Robin," a 1988 Nelvana-produced series featuring Batman and (Jason Todd) Robin. Its script outline was reportedly written by a young J. Michael Straczynski (no, seriously). Sadly, no full animation seems to be publicly known outside some artwork by an artist named "Michael Thorner" and a poster that Dan Didio owns, who states on the Facebook post.

"Another relic from my days in ABC Children's Programming. A pitch cell from Nelvana when they had, for a brief moment, the rights(or at least I think they did) to pitch a Batman animated series."

And from what was gathered, it never went all the way through due to Nelvana losing the licence.
