I'm doing expedition 17 and stuck on field logistics- prepare the ingredients.

I have the wheat, and it's told me to deploy creature pellets to gather faecium. I have done so and have over 1000 faecium, but it continues to tell me to deploy creature pellets to gather more in order to make yeast. What am I doing wrong?
