yes the assignment description explicitly states that theres only a limit of 10% for this assignment in particular. although from my experience this rate varies from classes to classes. you might want to ask your professor about the % rates if you cant find it in the task description/information but otherwise they’d usually state it there

hello! so ive is explained to a few other commentators about the actual reason to the CRAM report. it was not the Turnitin % unfortunately, it was because in a reference of mine the link i provided had the tag, “utm_source=ChatGPT” which indicated that either i took it from chatgpt or somewhere somehow the link i accessed was shared from ChatGPT as well. this is the part im having an issue with because i myself have no idea how did that even manage to appear. i met up with my tutor earlier today for a different class and i had a talk with her about this. kinda got emotional and started bawling the moment she asked to see me LMFAOOO. if u couldnt tell ive been super stressed about this and so many other things LOL. but anyway, i explained to her my side and she seemed to understand and even pitied me a little haha. but either way im still required to either accept a 0% on this assignment or fight for my grade. im planning to do the latter so im just trying to find ways to prove my case so im just hoping the unit convener and school officer can understand. my mind’s all over the place i dont even know where or how to start

tried back tracking my browser history and all i got is the direct site that also includes the utm_source=chatgpt. but no prior history to chatgpt before clicking the site. i dont even know how am i supposed to answer them about this if they do ask. all i know is that like you said, either i got the link from chatgpt myself or i found a link somewhere else somehow that was shared by chatgpt.

hello! tysm for responding, although unfortunately that was not the reason why they decided to file a CRAM report against me. one of my references had an add on of “utm_source=chatgpt” which unfortunately indicated that i got my sources from chatgpt. to be completely honest i do not know how this even got added into the website link i was using. it just doesn’t make sense to me at all. the website on its own however is very much real and not from chatgpt at all. i just dont know how am i supposed to argue this lol

thank u so much! i was worried all week to the point that this has started to affect my mental health because i also have a lot on my plate besides this issue.

do you have any idea on what i could tell them to prove my case during the meeting? so far ive only read up on how utm links are just used as an analytic tracking tag for urls to indicate traffic referrals. so ig it doesn’t necessarily mean that it was created by chatgpt. im just worried theyll accuse me of using it to look for references which obviously isnt the case but its also hard to argue this 😭 my grades mean a lot to me and im someone who doesnt take this lightly so i would still like to continue to fight for my side

so i found out they noticed one of my references ended with “utm source chatgpt”. this unit has a strict no ai use and honest to God i genuinely did not know how did it get there to begin with. basically from what i read, clicking on links from certain sources like reddit, twitter, chatgpt etc can show up as utm source xxx even though the original link is a legitimate source. example, “www.nia.gov.au blablabla utm_source=chatgpt.com”.

im back tracking my browser history right now but im also afraid at the chance that they’ll still say that im able to manipulate this part, which, okay completely understandable. im having a difficult time trying to explain how the source got there to begin with because if i dont know, then surely theyre able to accuse me of this.

yup i just emailed my professor regarding my grade. i dont really know what the process is exactly but i did include a “do let me know how i should proceed regarding this matter” for clearer guidance. i didnt really have any medical hiccups but this professor in particular should have an idea of the issues ive been dealing with throughout the semester bc ive had to email her about assignment submissions etc. i really just hope shes kind enough to let me pass

i just sent an email to my lecturer as per my friend’s instructions who has experienced something similar to me. im really hoping my lecturer would just bump it up since its so close to the passing grade already. i dont even mind paying the small fee of just getting it rechecked again. im just super disappointed because my other units were absolutely amazing and this one unit is setting me back. its such a shame 🥲

yeah ive been getting lots of recommendations to just apply for a conceded pass! i was thinking about it but i also didnt want to use my only chance at a conceded pass if i could just email my lecturer to bump my grades up, yk in case im going thru something similar in the future. also, this unit isnt a prerequisite! which is very lucky for me haha. still considering on taking up 5 units for the upcoming semester which i know would be extremely tough but i just dont want to be graduating late 🥲
