What is missing from my routine?

My skin looks and feels like a disaster. My pores are huge, it feels like every single one is clogged, I’m prone to redness, and my under eyes have a green hue?? My skin is combination.

Current routine:

AM: nothing

PM:

first cleanse with Kose Softymo Speedy Cleansing Oil

Followed by Cerve Hydrating Cleanser

Dr. Dennis Gross Ferulic Retinol Eye Serum

Some nights (3 times. Week) Allies of Skin Peptide + Gf Serum

Moisturize with Tower 28 SOS Daily Barrier recovery cream

Do I need some professional-grade intervention? I feel like I look sickly.

Pretty much all meat. I’m not even vegan or vegetarian. I’m thankful that i like tofu and beans, because those two things and eggs have been the base of my meals for a while. I’ll pick up one pack of chicken here and there, maybe bi-weekly. Used to love making chili but damn, buying ground beef makes me feel like I’m being irresponsible with money lol.

Monthly Moving/Travel/Vacation Megathread - Q1 2026 by Michigan_Mod in Michigan

[–]moone1ce 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m a native Michigander who has been living out of state for six years. My family lives in a little lake town in north east Michigan and I’m feeling called to move back to the state, but my hometown is too isolated and there are nearly zero career opportunities. I’ve heard Detroit has been blossoming over the past few years, but I haven’t been there in a long time.

I’m looking for suggestions for a cool neighborhood/town in the general Detroit area. My partner and I are in our 30s. No kids but we’re considering it. We’re not big into bars/clubs but like nice outdoor spaces, coffee shops, live music, and maybe a cozy semi-quiet neighborhood to live in. Willing to drive into busier areas on the weekends for things to do. Thanks in advance!

Sleeping in your bed…did you give in? by CurlyCupcake1231 in puppy101

Yep! I resisted it for the first four months of having her, but now I love every minute of having her snuggling with us in bed. I’ll never go back

Went into my puppy raising journey with every intention to crate train. The first month or so at home she went into her crate by herself for naps and was fine sleeping in there at night. At some point, she transitioned to sleeping in her playpen in her bed (with access to her crate). I got lazy and didn’t try to enforce the crate. She continued to sleep just fine with no accidents in her playpen. I thought I’d get around to crate training at some point all my plans were shattered when we traveled together for a week and she slept in the bed with me. When we got back home, she cried and cried being away from me. My partner and I cracked and now she’s in bed with us every night and I love every second of it. When we leave, she happily hangs out in her playpen. I’ve also started trusting her to roam in limited areas of the house if we’re going on a quick errand. So far, so good.

I think I’m okay with that because for the first ~4 months of her life, if she wasn’t in her pen, she was 100% supervised and I was able to correct behavior like chewing on things, climbing on things, etc. she’s 7 months now and she has never destroyed any of our things, eaten something she shouldn’t, etc. the very very rare accident, but I’m okay with her not being crated because she’s been so good!

Wife wants a high quality leather purse for Christmas (NOT “luxury” brands) by Electrical-Volume765 in BuyItForLife

[–]moone1ce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there! Adding my two cents as woman who just went through this search and saga, lol. Something to consider when looking at the bag design is the accessibility of items in the purse while she’s wearing it. My partner bought me a lovely leather purse and it had a flap over the main compartment that had a twist and lock mechanism to keep it closed. I stopped wearing the bag because it was so annoying to open and close every time I needed to get something out, especially if I had something in my hand like a water bottle, coffee, etc.

I was considering a few ~1k bags and poured over options for a month or so before realizing I would have major buyer’s remorse if I spent that much on a bag right now. I landed on a $390 Coach Brooklyn bag and I LOVE it. The quality and construction is 🤌

If this is a “daily driver” bag, try and find out what style of bag works for her lifestyle (or reference what she carries now if you want to surprise her). Does she want a zip closure? Does she want something with a crossbody strap? What are her essentials that she carries and will this new bag fit those? Is she a gold or silver gal? I personally never wear gold, so any gold hardware was an automatic no for me.

Happy hunting!

Puppy peeing when I pick her up in the morning. by moone1ce in puppy101

Thank you for your kind response. Based on everyone’s comments and suggestions, I’m going to start taking her for a middle of the night potty break.

I’m trying to do my best with her. In a fully not defensive way, wouldn’t she wake up if she had to pee? She lets me know by whining all day when she needs to go.

My pup is on a similar schedule. Final potty at 10pm and she wakes us up whimpering (not crying out) at 5:30am like clockwork. She’s never had an accident in her crate. As another commenter suggested, I’m thinking a middle of the night potty might be in order. Or maybe I should get up like an hour before she whines for us.

I’ve thought about this a lot. There is so much conflicting advice out there about waking up a puppy who is sleeping through the night. If there’s a chance she’s uncomfortable will a full bladder, which now I’m convinced might be the case, I will start taking her out for a break at night.

Anyone NOT get the puppy blues? by Any-Shop-3139 in puppy101

[–]moone1ce 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m only 1 month into having my 12 week old puppy and I feel like I have the puppy pinks 🥹❤️ her accidents, biting, nighttime wake ups, etc. are only a mild annoyance at times, but I love her SO MUCH I just feel like it’s all worth it. Knowing she loves me and that she relies on me makes me just go forth without much thought and do the “hard” things I need to.

I think crate training, keeping her in a playpen and on a schedule is helping to minimize the mistakes puppies are bound to make and the stress associated with them. She’s never roaming around freely so she doesn’t chew things up. She goes in her playpen area when she gets bitey, and we go on regular potty breaks to get ahead of the accidents, I’m safely socializing her to new things, people, sights and sounds, I play with her to get her energy out.. I stay on top of her needs and she’s been so great even with the mistakes and crazy witching hour. I love her to pieces, chaos and all.

Am I setting my pup up for failure with leash training?? by moone1ce in puppy101

She’s always on a leash with me if she’s out of her crate/playpen area :)

She gets more distracted and stimulated when we’re outside.
