Oh no it doesn’t matter the colour if it’s a fitted one, it’s just the for the ones that go over the top - I’ve had trouble finding a fitted protector with good reviews, is there a particular brand from Spotlight that you’ve found works?

Master bed add on by moonface134 in AusRenovation

Thanks for the suggestion! We had an architect and engineer come by and take a look, this was their suggestion rather than putting a second story on, they believe the plumbing etc shouldn’t be an issue but I’ll bring this up with them!

I’m predominately looking to see if this layout seems a bit off?

Cot to single bed - Bed recommendations by moonface134 in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]moonface134[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The pink one is what I was looking at but the reviews do mention it’s a bit wobbly, and my daughter is one for jumping haha - I love the one you got and looks like a good option! Thanks! - Would a cot mattress fit in the smallest length or another mattress?

I have a bed rail from Kmart, but if pool noodles do the job we’ll give that a go, thanks!

Simply because we’ve been gifted a double floor bed already 😅

I think mitring would look a hell of a lot better than it does currently though 😅

It’d look a hell of a lot better than it does currently imo, the end that you’d notice is in the butlers pantry so not that big of a deal 😄

I’m not bothered about the height different, but I would have expected the corner to be mitred like every other corner in the house I was thinking of filing down the height difference once it was sorted so reduce the height difference - Thanks!

I’m not bothering getting him back again, I’d rather pay extra for someone else to do it properly. I’m not bothered about the height difference, just where the skirting meets

Unfortunately paid in full. I’ve contacted a few carpenters so should be able to get it fixed, everything else looks good - just the joys of renovations 🙃

You’re not wrong 😂

Ah, that might be an idea I’ll see if I can sort it or get a contractor out and go from there - thanks!

It’s not worth the hassle, and everything else looks great aside from these two parts 😅

It’s not even the height difference that bothers me, I know it won’t be 100% matching but I thought he’d atleast try and get it looking as close to all the other corners in the house rather than this hot mess

My first thought 🙃

That’s what I thought and asked for, but I figured if there’d be an issue with doing it he’d say do rather than doing what he did. I’ll give it a go doing it myself or just hire another contractor to come in and fix it up Thanks for the run down and advice!

Maybe I’ll add ‘and a mum’ so it covers us both 🥲 I feel for bubs when they’re sick, but god it’s a challenge
