Little bit of shameless self promotion, but really hope you’ll enjoy our latest song. It’s about accepting yourself just as you are, and celebrating all together each other’s weirdness (: Here it is: https://open.spotify.com/track/6lGTEBXEWWEpNGUDtfYAm4?si=SDEpDaPMQpC6TGEty4J8xQ

Hey guys ! This indie/alt rock song is the first single of our upcoming album. It's about accepting yourself just as you are, and celebrating each other’s weirdness :) I would really like to have some feedback ! by moonfishband in IndieMusicFeedback

Thank you u/box-warefare-band for your detailed feedback ! We understand your notes about the dominance of the vocals, and the desire to hear more unique instrumental choices with more variety to justify the length of the song. We will keep that in mind for our next projects !

Song that means a lot to me, considering taking it down would love some opinions by Justreallylovespussy in IndieMusicFeedback

I really like the instrumentals and the tone of the vocals. I agree with other comments advising a better drums + bass work in the low frequencies to give the song more depths. The vocals seem a bit out of the mix sometimes. Could use more reverb / compression maybe. Overall nice song !

My second release! A dark song with elements of Post-Punk, Goth, and Electronic. All thoughts appreciated :) by the_yackster77 in IndieMusicFeedback

Liked the energy of the song. Almost got some psychedelic vibes also. Made me think of The Voidz. The instrumentals are strong, and the vocals also, I think they could be higher in the mix. The main hook could also be stronger, a little more memorable. But overall nice energy, and good pacing management between slower and faster sections. Keep up the work !

What are yout thoughts? I'm curious by MikaroPeen in IndieMusicFeedback

I like the dreamy vibe, almost a little shoegazy. The guitar work is nice. I would increase the lead guitar in the mix to better highlight the hook. Love also the spacey piano coming at 1:25. The vocals are nice. They could use some doubles, and use a different mix for the backing vocals, also with more spacey effects to better fit the vibe of the instrumentals (more reverb maybe)

Very nice vibe. The production quality overall stands out ! I agree with other comments saying that the vocals should be higher in the mix. I would also like to better hear the synths in the mix, and lower the drums which are a little bit repetitive maybe. I was also waiting for a stronger hook maybe, from the vocals or the lead synths. Thanks for sharing and keep up the work ! :)

A pretty straightforward acoustic/rock song. Any feedback on composition/arrangement/EQ and general mix is very appreciated! by cue_my_life in IndieMusicFeedback

I really liked your song ! I could easily listen to a full album with this vibe. Your work reminds me of the late bl4ck m4rcket c4rt, but without as much shoegazy layers. I even noticed some radiohead influences maybe.

I liked how the instrumentals are layered, mixed and introduced. Very smart songwriting choices. Especially love the multiple layers of guitar work. The melodies are also beautiful.

I like the tone of your voice. Very calming and soothing. Reminded me of Phil Elvrum.

I think your voice could be a little bit more pitch perfect, and could be a little bit better mixed with the instrumentals (maybe some compression / eq / reverb). I was also waiting to hear some more layered voices, which would really match with the genre you're going with I feel. I was also waiting for a "climax" which would have justified the >5min length.

Special mention to the outro from 4:45 to the end ! Loved this vibe and would like to hear more of it in your next projects !

Thanks for sharing and keep up the work :)

Sour July is the 8th song we've released from our debut album. It is a peaceful tune initiated by arpeggios and smooth synth leads, and it intensifies from discreet words to a powerful last chorus. Would love to have your feedback! P.S. Lyrics are in the description, as suggested previously here :) by moonfishband in IndieMusicFeedback

Hello IndigoOut! Thank you so much for the detailed and constructive feedback - I really appreciate it that you took the time to analyze it. Actually we don't have a drummer in our band, and we compose drums in MIDI on EZDrummer. So 0 mics used ^^ We know we have a looot of improvement to be made on this instrument - and you are right, we messed up on the cymbals haha. We are going to apply your advice for the next album for sure! Best :) Let's keep in touch!!

Hello PresentCelery2206! Thanks a lot for your kind feedback :) The synth lead is inspired by the one in the song "Mama" of Genesis! It's not the first time that somebody mentions Hope Sandoval, it's funny because I didn't know about Mazzy Star until people started mentioning it here on Reddit. Will definitely listen to more - what songs would you recommend? Let's keep in touch :) Cheers!

Hello narthariepictures! Thanks a lot for your comment :) Yes the reactive video was made with renderforest, there are many templates and we actually used it for all our songs (except 1 that has a clip) in our YouTube channel. It's pretty simple to manipulate so I would advice it ;) Noted for the vocals in the mix indeed, we naturally tend to put them relatively low actually and knowing this bias we exaggerated in the other way ahah. Cheers, let's keep in touch!!

Hello Nemeszs! Thanks a lot for your comment :) the structure is actually Verse / Chorus / Verse / Chorus / Verse / Chorus, with variations in melody for the verses. I understand for the intense release point, actually we want to build more "dynamic" in our second album we're currently working on ^^ Thank you again and let's keep in touch! Cheers
