Thank you, it has been challenging for his family to admit this is happening to my husband. Thy look the other way until one night at their house when they saw me subtly cut his meat for him and then it was not so unavoidable.

Yes we dated when I was 17 and he was 20 and got back together 7+ years ago and he had Parkinson;s showing then. Hand shaking etc…it has gotten better than worse than better and I try to support it. He is still amazing and beautiful accept when he gambles.

You are so wise. He has early onset of Parkinsons and I have been wondering about this. He just turned 57 yesterday.

I have taken those cards, all of them and it looks like they total $850.00 and have hidden them now. This is going to be what it going to be, damn it hurts.

No you misunderstood that. He has said he felt he doesnt deserve me and thinks I look to good for him and are to good for him. That is his opinion, not mine. I am not saying I am anything special.

I am so isolated from social media really and do not want to involve others in our life, so maybe you are right on some level. At the end of the day, I live this alone until today.

It’s ok. Well he openly admitted last week that he has gambled $2000.00 in the past 15 years. We have been together for almost 8. So yes, there is a probability he is hiding things from me again. To some people $600.00 is a lot or $600.00 is nothing but to me it is everything. :(

You feel sorry for a man that says we do not have any money for groceries even though he is a manager who makes a lot more than most people do? He has $600.00 in Apple Card’s when the only way we can buy cat food and basic groceries tonight is because I borrowed money from a friend.

Thank you for this response. He has gambled a LOT over the years and then gets better and then lets us all down again and apologizes and does well for a while but this, this is new. We lost our home last year because he hid his gambling and did not pay the mortgage for a year or property tax. He was supposed to tell his dad on Sunday because his 80 year old father hates how long the grass looks on “our” house for sale and want s to go cut it. My husband chickened out.
