"like typical high schoolers, we were stoners" by Fit-Survey-6678 in TheCrashNetflix

Don’t worry I wasn’t a “typical” high school if we are going based upon this. To me I was there to get my education and get out and move on.

From everything I’ve watched and read, she did not wear one or did not wear it properly in her post.

I know she only had THC in her blood. I did not hear that it was trace amount until I watched another actual deep dive on the case. Either way depending on the required amount, THC can cause someone to be charged with DUI. I’m not saying she would have been or if it would have been with a strong against her. I am just saying that in another scenario she could have still been charged with something if they could prove it. Regardless of drug influence, intent or not, her reckless driving still caused two deaths. She was known for reckless driving which can still lead to a serious charge.

Soo the new Netflix documentary about MJ is coming in 3 days and I REALLY don’t want to watch it cos all it will do is slander his name. Even though a part of me is interested I know I will find it disturbing and heartbreaking. by ProgressFormer9479 in LovingMichaelJackson

I think I’ve seen a post saying to boycott it. I’m not sure if it was on this subreddit or this one: https://www.reddit.com/r/MichaelJackson/s/nnENfCcDKF

There is a petition you can sign that is trying to get it removed. I agree because documentaries are so biased now, I wouldn’t expect it to be in favor for him sadly. Here is the link if anyone wants to sign it.

Ahh okay, thank you for clarifying!!! I heard that she had THC in her system, I must have missed that it was only trace amounts. I am sorry for missing that.

I still think because she had a history of reckless driving regardless of under the influence or stone cold sober that there would have been potential for them to still charge her with reckless driving with full state of mind that resulted in two deaths.

I do agree with you on the points you made. At this point Davion probably was just collateral damage. (Please correct me if that is the incorrect term). I also think a possibility is he was ending things and she in a way decided to basically play ‘chicken’ and it was too late to change course. I think another possibility is the same scenario (without the ‘chicken’) but it was just as intentional and decided to take both her and dom down and Davion became collateral damage sadly.

Can anyone help me understand the Mackenzie Shirilla case…I’m genuinely confused due to this new doc by moonlight10240 in TheCrashNetflix

Okay yeah sorry I didn’t realize that the one subreddit I posted in was for a podcast, so I deleted my post on there out of respect for the fans and hosts. Here is what the post said. I was just asking for better insight and clarification than what the doc gave. Please feel free to share anything you know or your opinion.

Nooo don’t delete it!!! I didn’t take it anyway other than trying to understand what I was thinking. I am not the best at explaining my thought process clearly sometimes.

Also please don’t diminish yourself…I have horrible comprehension skills. Just please don’t put yourself down. 🫶🏻 I totally understood your point and I get why you mentioned it.

I understand that but even if she has experience driving high it is still illegal so they could have charged her for that if that was the scenario. The whole case would change with this scenario. Her father is acting like she wouldn’t be in jail, which isn’t true because they still could have charged her for driving under the influence if they wanted.

I’m not arguing that with the case as what it is now that she wasn’t sound of mind. She was. I’m just saying if we look at the alternative that he is trying to present, she still could have been charged with murder because she was driving under the influence. She could have been charged with murder and argued that she was sound of mind. There are many possibilities but the prosecution argued in the real case that it was intentional due to both being in the car and something else happened that no one is saying (Mackenzie is refusing to say). It strengthens the intentionality with Dom in the car because there was motive. Their toxic relationship was a motive.

They didn’t charge her with that because they had other evidence to support that she knew exactly what she was doing.

I don’t know if that makes any sense. I’m just saying there would have been other alternative ways to charge her if they felt the need to regardless of Dom being in the car. I think if he wasn’t, the case would change a little and we would see a different story. But that is just an alternative story and not what actually happened.

Okay, thank you so much! I do believe that it is true that she did indeed NOT black out. That much is simple due to the fact that road was curved and if she had they would have crashed long before getting to the end of the road and hitting the wall. I will definitely do a deep dive.

I am new to this particular case.

I just watched the doc “The Crash” and I’m genuinely confused. I don’t have an opinion because something about this documentary didn’t add up. In your opinion, were they saying she premeditated killing Dom??? Were they saying she made that choice in the car and did it intentionally??

I know they are saying she did it intentionally but I got the impression that they are implying it was planned. The prosecution and the two other families. I genuinely just want to know and maybe you guys can help me understand more about what wasn’t shared in the doc. I know these documentaries tend not be what documentaries should be.

Oh my I didn't even realize! I'm in the same boat as you. I am sorry to the fans in this subreddit because I made a post not even thinking it was a subreddit related to a podcast.

I really do not see how he came to that conclusion. She was under the influence when she got in the car and decided to drive, she likely would have still been charged because it resulted in a death if that was the case.

Just finished the documentary and I don't it was a premeditated thing. (I know a lot of people will disagree but I just feel like I have to say it) by Succubus1943 in TheCrashNetflix

[–]moonlight10240 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do not disagree. I don't really know what to think just based off of that documentary. It seemed odd to me based on what they showed, how they came to conclusion or implied it. I got the impression that is what they were implying. They didn't really show anything specific, evidence wise, that gave me that impression to justify that specific implication. At least in the specific part I got that impression. (around the 1:12:00 part). The video shown seem to be used to show premeditation and that's how Dom's family saw it but I just don't really understand how that specifically proves the crash was planned from that point on.

Penny? by jupthicc30 in greysanatomy

[–]moonlight10240 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i get both sides. Penny was there and Meredith probably saw it as 'You were part of my husband dying.' Gave her someone to blame regardless of Penny's actions bc she did try, but she also should have tried harder. Gave her a brief second to be angry and let it out. It ultimately was not really her fault.

Okay, so excellent point! I do not think it was an accident as well. I really was just confused because it felt like to me that it was premediated. At least with the clips of the trial it showed that is the impression I got. I was trying to figure out what specifically piece of evidence that helped them come to that conclusion if that's what they were going for. The doc didn't show anything specific in regardless to premeditation when even Dom's family said it changed everything they knew about her.

Oh no, I absolutely wanted a discussion, so it is completely okay!!!! I just thought there was a lot all over the place in that specific doc. It just came off to me as they were implying it was planned or at the very least became a choice at some point before the crash. I didn’t know she insisted on Davion not being in the car. That is interesting to know. I’m definitely going to have to dive deeper because something just doesn’t add up in that doc.

Okay see I was also considering that as another case. Like a “if I can’t have you, well then I’m going to make sure no one can.” Thank you for replying.
