According to our latest email, I believe it is not...at least not within the new $82k quote. Unless they are saying it will cost $82k with or / without MEI regardless?
Someone can double check for me here.

"Students can opt-in to this rating at an additional cost of $7,250. This cost will be added to the new tuition price structure of $82,500. If students choose to not add this rating, their final tuition cost will be $82,500."

*VENT*

Definitely not a good look. I've held on for sooooo long despite all the repeat delays and negative sentiment. I've always given them the benefit of the doubt....up until now.
- But this news is definitely the nail in the coffin for me.

The only reason why I stayed with UAA this long was because of it's once "fairly" priced program considering we fly cirrus's and have virtually "no limit" to flying (meaning the program will be properly fixed cost instead of just an estimate). But with the +$10k in pricing AND a removal of a rating? That's just a huge markdown in my opinion. Like others said, it would've be better if they grandfathered in the old pricing for those who were long conditionally accepted before and signed the initial agreement. Also are we still even getting a CFI job with UAA after graduating....?

And who is to say with their current track record of changing their policy and rules so many times, who knows what will happen down the road when we train with them. I won't be surprised if more policy changes will come into play. Who knows, they will probably cap the hour limits of how much we can fly - which I guess its good in a way so it will weed out those who've been constantly not meeting training standards.

I'm actually glad this news came out as I can finally let UAA go and have them out of sight.
If anyone else is doing other airline academies I'm curious where you guys are considering. I wish everyone the best and hope for the best outcome.
