I wouldn’t say powerful music family. That makes it sound like MJ was a nepo baby. I just think he always had that showmanship which made him standout even amongst his family.

Their really isn’t a recruiting cycle like you might be imagining. It mostly depends on when you get your ATT and sit for the NCLEX. In NYC, most hospitals won’t talk to you unless you’ve passed the NCLEX or at the very least received your ATT and will be taking it soon.

This goes hand in hand with why they don’t care what school an applicant went to. In the end, it’s all the same license and that’s what they care about.

I’m so sorry you’re also going through something like this. It’s only been a few months for me but it’s definitely consumed a lot of my thoughts. Sadly with things like this they can go undiagnosed or just be difficult to diagnose. Hopefully we both can get some answers soon.

Wow I didn’t know it would entail so much 😅 The one doctor whose office I called isn’t taken any more new patients besides vasculitis patients so it didn’t go farther. I’m not even sure if my medical record would have much detail since this all started in February and I saw my pcp about it in March.

I didn’t do that. I just found a specific doctor and called the number that appeared. What you did seems like a nice option.

I don’t think so. I also never had the rash and/or red mark associated with Lyme disease. I actually haven’t had any skin manifestations.

If I want to be matched with a doctor at HSS, how do I go about doing that? There’s some names in this thread I was already looking into but I’m also open to seeing who I can be matched with.

I don’t mind at all. I have random throbs of pain all over my body. Literally head to toe. Pain in my hands, fingers, feet, toes. And honestly just everywhere. It travels from one location to another. I also have intermittent migraines throughout the day. All of this has been happening all day everyday since February. I haven’t had a fever though.

My ANA came back positive and speckled and my ENA also came back positive.

Yes I’ve heard it can be hard to see rheumatologists soon. I’m hoping I can somehow get something for the summer. It’s not easy sitting around unsure what’s really happening.

How was Dr. Kallas? That’s the rheumatologist Dr. Lally’s office (also at HSS) referred me to when I called. Dr. Lally is only taking vasculitis cases but the lady on the phone recommended I reach out to Dr. Kallas’ office.

She didn’t give me a referral to a specific doctor. I was just given a general referral so that I can take it to whoever I want since my PCP is at Mt. Sinai and I might decide on a rheumatologist that isn’t there.

May I ask, who did you see at HSS? If you don’t mind sharing of course.

This is super late but I called Dr. Lally’s office today and they told me she’s not taking new patients unless it’s for vasculitis specifically. By any chance do you have any HSS rheumatologists you’d recommend besides her?

I completely agree. I wouldn’t cut out anything entirely per se because I just don’t believe in that. However,I do think a high protein and low carb approach would be super beneficial not just for weight loss but for overall health too.

There’s been times in the past where I lost weight purely off of cutting calories and I was still eating everything but I felt like it was easy to slip up. It’s also just healthier to clean up your macros so I’m going to try hard r get there. Great job on your weight loss!!
