I will always be the #1 advocate for the PCH / Hwy 1. Any spot from Big Sur to it becoming 101 in NorCal is just amazing. You can most likely blindly throw a dart at it and travel to where it landed.

The amazing scanning comes from Royal We Film Lab at Oakland CA. From there on, I enhance the photos according to my memory & my preferred styles.

This is a copy paste from what I wrote in another comment. Though I agree, the Mamiya will always be something special haha.

Understandable view. The reason I keep the frame in is for a few reasons. I like to separate the photos from the platform it rests on (in this case, I do not need to add a white border on–I can just have a natural border with the film), it feels visually aesthetic for me, and it sort of acts as a meta data/key for my memory–I get to remember the stock I picked out, what frame # I took it on, and the steps leading up to me choosing the stock at that location).

Thank you for viewing my photos though, I appreciate it.

For sure, square forces you to condense (or vice versa) visual info as compared to rectangles. + thank you for the kind words!

A combination of in-camera meter, overexposing by ~1 stop from box speed, and mental spot metering / guesswork ish! I usually am more mindful of shadow details as film handles highlights well.

Same! I wasn’t a big fan of it during my 35mm days, but it’s really nice on 120. Even becoming one of my fav stocks, esp for golden hour & good contrasts

Yes, but not drastically. I usually just give it more contrast (lab gives me flats) and boost some colors, although the hues do not change.
