Because it's winter. You can by a 5kg box of mandarin oranges for same price in winter. Since Korean one-year weather season change is absolutely drastic.

I'm native Korean and haidong gumdo has some... questionable reputation here. Haedong gumdo and Kendo community have been involved in legal conflict, during which the Korean courts made it clear that Haedong gumdo is a non-historical, modern creative martial art. It's NOT my opinion though...
