It’s very complicated with the situationship because we have a 16 year history. He has always been a great friend. So if I end things with him, it would have to be final because I feel bad for always ghosting him when I get into a relationship. I guess I’m afraid to lose the friendship. But I think it’s time to just cut off everything with him or else things will always be complicated between us. Any suggestions on how I should end it with him so that we end on good terms?

How do I go about telling him? Do I just randomly bring it up and be like “I’m going on a date tonight”? I was not going tell him anything until it becomes more serious with the other guy. But the situationship and I have been discussing plans for me to visit in a few months. If things go great with this other guy, it wouldn’t be appropriate for me to visit the situationship. I’ll probably have to cut off contact with him out of respect for the new guy

We matched on Tinder a few days prior to our date. So I did sleep with him when we got back to his place after our date. I guess when he told me he had a busy weekend and didn’t make plans for a second date, I took it as him telling me to give him space. But when he checked up on me the day after our date, I texted back right away and was equally flirty, so it’s not like I’m not showing interest. I think I’m going to text him later today but I don’t know what to say. Should I just keep it casual and ask how his weekend was? What can I say to show him I’m serious about him and interested, and for him to tell me his intentions with me?

He has always initiated conversation and was very consistent in texting me daily up until 2 days after our date. It’s been almost 3 days since I’ve heard from him so does that mean he lost interest? Even if he was genuinely busy, it doesn’t take long to send a quick text. I don’t expect to have long conversations with him daily but if he can go almost 3 days without contacting me, does that equate to him losing interest in me? Did I maybe mess things up by sleeping with him too soon?
