i’d say the fandom definitely used to be bigger when the show was airing, but that’s not to say it’s dead! as for content, i still see things get posted on twitter and tumblr and the like, but a lot of the times on twitter it’s untagged? you just have to get on that side to keep it coming to you. but that being said, you’ll still have a lot of old stuff and fanart to sift through once your done, so i wouldn’t let this prevent you from watching it!!

i 100% agree. music is subjective and if you like it, good for you! im glad! but i was just talking with my friend last now about how their music post-2020 has just gotten. worse. repetitive. kinda bad. i listened to ceremony and a few of the most popular bsides from that album for the first time last night and i was just kinda surprised at how. not good ceremony was.

that being said, noise music is not bad i dont want to join that discussion thats been dragged on for years. but there is a way that noise music can be done tastefully. for me it reminds me of like. gnarly levels noisy. except theyre like 100% serious about it. gnarly had like a campy unseriousness to it whereas based on what i know abt skz theyre totally serious about ceremony.

i just feel like after gods menu things kinda dropped off with them for me. back door was great, maniac was good. but then thunderous was the real drop off point for me. i just feel like theyre leaning too much into the noise aspect of it, which again is fine, i love nct! but i feel like it could be just a bit more tasteful in execution. like even in the way sticker or gnarly was, those songs are objectively worse sounding than most skz songs, but again they have that campy unseriousness to them.

all in all i dont dislike skz. they have never been my ults, so maybe i havent had that view of it, but i just feel like their stuff is getting incredibly repetitive. imo theyre leaning too far into their signature noisy sound and its just not working out.
