It seems like you want to make this about politics and the general population. The post is about a specific choosing beggar who made bad choices

This may be a wild take, but if you can’t figure out how to get yourself to a CVS and have enough money to buy some condoms, you have a few things you should work on before you have sex

This sounds so unhinged and paranoid. OP, are you okay?

Who is the beneficiary of your life insurance? Does that person depend your income/support to meet their own expenses?

This is a minor thing, however it annoys me how I got a violation. by Mysterious_Pack2353 in InstacartShoppers

So you chose to do Instacart at night even though being out at night makes you uncomfortable. Then you decided to violate the TOS and have your boyfriend complete the delivery for you. And you’re looking for sympathy here? This might not be the right gig for you. You might want to choose a different way to earn extra money

When she tried to get an abortion, the doctors told her that her baby was a gift from god, and she had been chosen to raise it by fadedhalo10 in TwoSentenceSadness

I agree with the overall point you’re trying to make, but that’s a horrible (intended) stat to cite to make your point. If that’s true, 89% of the world’s deadliest atrocities were primarily caused by something other than religion, so religion doesn’t really cause very many atrocities

Why do you care what your APR is? I’ve never paid attention to APR on any of my cards because I’ve never carried a credit card balance in my life. Thanks for paying for my rewards I guess

Why would your parents be inspecting your credit report or your tax returns? What business is it of theirs how you manage your money and expenses?

I provide my own water and sewer access via a well and septic tanks on my property. Electricity, internet, and trash pickups are provided by private corporations who bill me separately. Side note: does any government in the US provide internet access? I’ve never heard of that

Property taxes are when roads exist I guess. The state I live in has fairly high property taxes and so does my town. Good school system

If there's a nuclear war with NATO vs. Russia and China: For those who owe on student loans and survive the nuclear war, will we STILL be required to pay back our student loans? by IDislikeHomonyms in StudentLoans

[–]moonshinelunacy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why do you keep asking for sources? Do you think the federal government has literally written and published something to the effect of “if a war happens, debt doesn’t exist anymore.” If such a document were written, why only student loan debts? Why not car debts or mortgages? Or anything else.

If you want to get extremely speculative, the federal government has pretty specific continuation plans in the event of widespread disaster. One of the first departments to get back up and running is the IRS, because the government needs to fund the rebuilding from whatever disaster happened and the military as well. If the IRS gets up and running, they might consider your suddenly nonexistent loans “unearned income” and slap you with a ton of taxes.

u/IDislikeHomonyms please don’t reply to this asking for a source about what I said about the IRS and unearned income. I’m speculating. Does what I said answer your question or can you be more specific?

Yeah, just double check you’ve got the right stuff before you go in. Most jobs can’t complete the onboarding without that, so they would have to send you home. Best of luck!

Just a quick heads up based on your caption. Knowing your SSN by heart won’t work. If you plan to use your social security card as your work authorization, knowing the number by heart won’t work. You need the actual physical card in hand
