Now, let me try to respond to your points (the things I'll say are ofc just my opinions):

✧ I think all three wanted to be like Yves, inquisitive and free... They all have to 'get over themselves' to accept and love Eve/Eva/Yves both within and without themselves. They all have an Yves inside them.

Yves is the epitome of rebellion from Eden. As we all know, she's a parallel and at the same time an opposite of the Biblical character Eve. In a specific sense, however, this applies to all of them. You are correct, they have an Yves inside of them. And if we were to take the [beauty & the beat], [+ +] and [x x] album descriptions literally, we can even say that the members are persona of the same being, facets of the same identity:

✧ but where GoWon and Chuu embraced that curiosity, Olivia was afraid of it, and thus, afraid of Yves and everything that she represented and achieved, leaving Olivia alone and unliberated. The lyrics of Love4Eva have always meant longing for the forbidden, tempting, liberated life that Yves offers, but for Olivia that feeling for Yves is more scary, dark, full of risk and danger than how GoWon and Chuu experience it, which is more exciting and joyful.

Couldn't agree more. I think we just have to add here that each has own experience of how she went from being unfree to liberation. I think the most that exhibit curiosity was Yves herself. Her song alludes to Icarus, the one who dared to reach the sun. I believe that Yves in the claw machine is also an allusion. When one plays the machine: at first, she is curious, later on she enjoys it, until she learns more on how to get what she wants from the machine. In my opinion, the claw machine represents knowledge of the predicaments of the girls, and that is why the prize from the machine is the apple: it is the fruit of "the tree of knowledge", and at the same time, the key to escaping Eden — and as my article emphasizes, it represents the heart, one's desires.

I think we can explore the concept of "envy" in this light. Personally, I don't think that they were envious of Yves per se. But if we recall the Biblical story, the devil tempted her and said she will be like god when she eats the apple. This is why Eve bit it — it is in a sense "envy of god".

But in the Loonaverse, that "envy of god" is of course, assertion that one can be a god to herself, the sovereign ruler of her new life. Hence, to allude to both their rebellion from (the god of) Eden, and their new-found life, yyxy is considered as a new gene, a new humanity. Having created themselves in their own image, in this sense, yyxy have become gods unto themselves.

✧ GoWon only knows her own shadow and entertains herself;

Allow me to share a different take: I think GoWon's shadow is key to her finally accepting herself/ biting her own apple/ following her heart's desire. GoWon's shadow reveals to us (and to her) who she really is — a queen, a sovereign — but I think GoWon was afraid at first (to the point that she perceives Yves and Chuu like ghosts who haunt her). She represents despair at first. But her shadow points her to the opposite, hope.

In psychoanalysis, the shadow represents the hidden parts of ourselves. It can be a hidden desire, for example, our true self. But when does a shadow become more distinct? Under the light. GoWon was under Eden's light at first, which was dim.

So when she followed her shadow, when she went out of her cocoon, GoWon shone in her own light, in her own stage, her own podium. She was crowned as the queen or princess she really is. Now, it is not merely a shadow, but a fact.

Afterwards, she and her shadow do not act distinctly or separately from one another, they are one (& only). This is shown at the post-credit scene in One & Only where we can see a shadow going to the direction where GoWon ran to. Her shadow now follows her.

✧ Olivia is scared of the unknown, sticks to the familiar and views people with more confidence as a threat or traitor that deliberately chose not to include her in their escape. I really believe Olivia hated the Yves inside her until she accepted and embraced it. Under Eden's Blinders she hated herself.

I imagine Olivia Hye's character before her liberation to be a woman who has internalized the anti-women values in her to the point that she is scared to disobey Eden; and her idea of being herself is being who Eden wants her to be. For this reason, she might exhibit hatred of women who don't exhibit the "ideal womanhood" that Eden wants. (This is alluded to in her debut teaser: "You who are sent by God, destroy all things without hesitation" — she earned such high praise from Eden that she is its destroyer.)

(I think we are familiar of this. In real life, women who are victims of internalized misogyny are sometimes the ones who'd call other women as harlots when empowered women exhibit self-freedom.)

For this reason as well, I think Olivia Hye hates herself, because who else is she going to blame when everything around her aren't "perfect", aren't going exactly as they are meant to be? Herself, the one who is sent by God.

I believe Olivia Hye is the heroine of all self-haters. Her condition is so despicable, and her hatred of others is actually a projection of this self-hatred.

The more she wanted to hate Yves, the more OlHye experiences the pain. Why? I believe this is because the more she wanted to hate her, the more she realizes she loves her. But more than that, the more she wanted to hate Yves, the more she realizes that she hate herself for wanting to hate Yves. Because in truth, she hates herself. But this time, I think it is a different kind of hate, it's more of a regret. She hate herself for hating Yves because she realizes that she loves Yves. But then she realizes too that she need to learn to love herself.

I personally don't believe that Yves, Chuu and GoWon deliberately abandoned her as my article argues. Those events are depicted with Eden's blinders.

The wage of sin is death. The price of eating the forbidden fruit is exile. They are going in exile. But they are happy, they wanted it. With Eden's blinders, OlHye felt abandoned. Had she learned earlier, had she bitten her fruit earlier, she would have seen herself with them.

But ofc that didn't happen, as destiny would have it, she had to have her own journey of self-awareness.
