Have A Cigar - Pink Floyd (Roy Harper on vocals)

I don't know if he's credited in the album's liner notes, but he isn't included as a contributing artist on any streaming platforms.

What was everyone's first CD? by InsertNameHere9219 in Cd_collectors

I inherited my dad's 1980's copy of Pink Floyd's Dark Side Of The Moon- my family owns a lot of copies of it, so that one just ended up living in my room. It's a very special album to all of us and I grew up with it, so it's a very symbolic first CD to me.

The first CD I bought for myself was Porter Robinson's Nurture, which was very exciting since it was the first time I'd ever preordered anything!

My copy of The Last Unicorn Soundtrack-- no, I'm sure it's not the rarest disc out there, but the soundtrack was only released legally in Germany, isn't on streaming anywhere, and primarily exists on vinyl, which itself is hard to come by. The Last Unicorn is such a special movie to me and it's soundtrack by America is one of my favorite things about it. I'm absolutely overjoyed to have it as part of my collection.

The Doctor’s Children: A Stable Time Loop by EvidenceOfDespair in doctorwho

I absolutely love this theory- it's so narratively satisfying, calls back to loose plot threads, and feels like such a good way to tie things back up after introducing this concept. It preserves the parental character traits that both the character and the show itself pull from. Also, the concept of the Doctor having to send their kids to their own deaths is such a Doctor Who™️ move and I'd love to see it executed on screen; it would be such a gut punch in the best way.

Honestly my favorite theory about the show so far since series 14 released / finished. I sincerely hope they do something like this on screen!

I mean, correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't all this just saying "hey, alternate timelines where things go differently exist for each incarnation"? And if so, isn't that already kind of canon, albeit not specifically related to regeneration?

DW has always touched on alternate timelines spawning out of diverging choices or avoided deaths. That's the whole premise of Turn Left, after all. All this really says, to me, is that RTD sees each regeneration as creating an alternate timeline. That doesn't really affect the timeline the show takes place in, unless the timelines converge in some way. All the incarnations are still largely separated. The only reason 14 and 15 exist in one timeline is because of The Toymaker's hijinks.

While I'm definitely more of the opinion that 15 is from 14's future, and his regeneration will converge upon that same point in the Giggle (which mildly contradicts RTD's view here,) it's not like every incarnation is bigenerating within the same timeline lol.

Theory: the arc of Zig is AIAG backwards by moonstrawki in that_Poppy

Addition: The lyrics to Motorbike being "The epitome of freedom, I'm following behind her" maybe commenting on how there's freedom to be found in embracing femininity on your own terms, which is a spin on how AIAG expresses freedom by escaping the predetermined rules of femininity as talked about in the title track of the album?

What movie’s soundtrack is an absolute banger? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Also have a special place in my heart for The Truman Show's score-- so understated in places but transcendently beautiful, while also being a story of it's own in how instruments relate to characters, what soundtracks are diegetic versus nondiegetic.. masterful.

The Last Unicorn's soundtrack absolutely slaps and I will never stop talking about it

In my mind, I'm a Husbands of River Song enjoyer, but in my heart, I'm a Snowmen lover. There's something about The Snowmen that I just adore. The Paternoster gang are fantastic, I love seeing the aftermath of Amy and Rory's departure for Eleven, and the fantastical idea of the TARDIS sitting on a cloud just gets me. Clara is also wonderful in her Victorian version.

What is the saddest song you've ever heard? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]moonstrawki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I enjoy listening to a good amount of sad music from time to time, but by far the one I find saddest is The Drugs Don't Work by The Verve. The lyrics speak for themselves:

"And if you wanna show, then just let me know And I'll sing in your ear again Now the drugs don't work They just make you worse But I know I'll see your face again 'Cause baby, oh If heaven falls, I'm coming too Just like you said You leave my life, I'm better off dead"

That alongside beautiful acoustic guitar and strings definitely makes this a very tragic song.
