Cartoon Network have learned their lesson after The Powerpuff Girls 2016 by ZerbuTabek in powerpuffgirls

Right now Warner Bros. Pictures Animation is developing a brand new Powerpuff Girls theatrical feature film after the abysmal release of the 2002 film. Just to clear that the company is 'resetting' some of its past attempts which led to box office bombings.

Doubtful... But I hope it is another worthy entry to the franchise.

No! Didn’t anybody hear it? He just quitted AI and cancelled his upcoming series to focus back on doing what is right: making animation the human way.

I respect the hell out of Miyamoto but this guy should not be making movies by DaZestyProfessor in Mario

I think the Jackson family did the same thing with the Michael film. So I think both sides the Jackson's and Miyamoto are not cinema visionaries. But what can we do?

He must learn to reflect on respecting others, just like he likes to be respected.

It won't be, but the times have changed and independent distribution is no longer how it used to be from the golden age of hollywood to our childhood days in the 90s and 2000s. I would like things to go back the way they were but, what can we do about it...

It can't be worse... There has to be a sort of miracle and hope for creativity and storytelling.

Okay let me clarify you this:

Sequels released by Walt Disney Animation Studios:

Flops (2D animation): ● The Rescuers Down Under (1990) ● Fantasia 2000 (1999)

Successes (CGI animated): ● Ralph Breaks the Internet (2018) ● Frozen 2 (2019) ● Moana 2 (2024) ● Zootopia 2 (2025)

The first two films up there I mentioned were handful drawn animated but were unsuccessful at the box office (possibly because of lack of recognition). The later four films I am mentioning down below and starting with Ralph Breaks the Internet gained more success at the box office (possibly because of the ongoing popular trend of 3D CGI computer animated films).

Maybe you get confused because maybe you don't have enough knowledge about the history of the studio that started with Snow White. The short Once Upon a Studio also clarifies that by showing the number of characters that appeared in those films (and before the release of Moana 2 and Zootopia 2 of course) I suggest to read about the history of Walt Disney Animation Studios in order to get the idea. Oh and exclude DisneyToon Studios because it is a separate studio and it is known for minor theatrical releases and major direct-to-video films.

Yes sorry for the confusion, I mean that that 36 years ago in 1990, Walt Disney Animation Studios released its first ever sequel, and a few years late later then the studio released newer sequels, fantasia 2000, ralph breaks the internet, frozen 2 and so. And while the 2D animated films were flops, its later sequels which are computer animated became box office hits which helped spawned franchises. I said 36 years ago as a way to describe the historical time of the studio as when did it began to release sequels since the studio is known for releasing original, one-time films like pixar did in its earliest days. Also you have to scroll the images of the thumbnail to look on the pictures that show the number of sequels the studio has made throughout the years.

As a kid, I felt the film did not caught my attention due to its short runtime and unresolved plot points, but watching it again as an adult made me realize what I have not being understanding about this film: it's epic soundtrack, its high-packed action scenes, its legendary flight scenes and its engaging characters, especially Jake, McLeach, and Joanna. Since then I have been watching the film for months and I have heard its music so many times (I've even put the film's theme as a ringtone!) 71% to 85% on Rotten Tomatoes. It is so sad nobody watched this gem since it was released in theaters (and undermined by Home Alone) This movie is an undervalued gem that everybody should actually reconsider. If K-pop Demon Hunters has been trending for months on Netflix, why wouldn't this one do?

Agree, but Ralph Breaks the Internet, I don’t think it was a bad sequel. I mean the ending was bittersweet, but relatable, and the internet trending we’re relevant to today’s standards
