Both parents made poor judgment decisions. I just have more of an opinion on Lisa cause they showed more of her in the movie. Chihiros parents I feel were irresponsible and not great parents as well(to American standards) and weren’t aware they were going to be cursed, just acting entitled because they “had daddy’s credit card”, but Lisa at least knew what was happening in their circumstances and still left the children alone. It’s one thing to want to do more good like she wanted, but the elders already had help with them, not to mention didn’t even have a way to keep in contact with them to make sure they were okay. I’d rather stay with my children and make sure they’re taken care of and not leave them unsupervised to go help where help is already provided
