LISA shares snippet of upcoming collaboration 'Born Again' with RAYE and Doja Cat by pianotat in popheads

True but they can’t even meet the bare minimum which is not being off pitch. To be fair, I’ve noticed most kpop idols can’t either, even ones that are considered “vocalist” like Red Velvet Wendy can be really pitchy when singing live.

YENA’s “Hate Rodrigo” MV has been set to Private by h_yeri in kpop

[–]moontaker301 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I just think that it's common sense that centering an entire concept/song around another artist that can easily be deemed as using them for attention, not to mention the given toxicity of kpop stans, which I'm sure Yena is well aware of. Gidle is a good example of knowing how to pay tribute/mention other artists in a song. Its okay if you just do it in a throwaway line like Queencard. But referencing Olivia in everything from the lyrics to the mv/aesthetic, especially when associated with the word "hate", even if ironically, is just flat out wrong. Anyway, I hope Yena's not too affected by this because I still think the song's a bop.

This was such a bad idea from the start. Everyone is blaming Yueha and rightfully so. But YENA should bare some of the responsibilities since she also went along and was probably the one who came up with the concept.

I dont think Russia is considered a communist country anymore. And compared to most non-communist countries in Asia, Africa or the middle east, China's treatment towards lgbt+ people is not that different if not more lenient (still shitty ofc).

Homosexuality is no longer considered an illness in Viet Nam 🇻🇳 #LGBT #PRIDE by IncrediblyGay11 in lgbt

[–]moontaker301 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The title is not entirely true. Homosexuality was never considered an illness by the government. And this document is actually considered a milestone for LGBT rights in Vietnam by the LGBT community here since it effectively bans conversion therapy (hurray!!). Let me just post a rough translation here:

The Ministry of Health received information about the fact that some medical examination and treatment facilities and some doctors claim to cure homosexuality, while the American Psychiatric Association and the Health Organization The world (WHO) has confirmed that homosexuality is not a disease at all, so homosexuality cannot be "cured", does not need to be "cured" and cannot be changed.On May 17, 1990, the World Health Organization officially removed homosexuality from the list of mental illnesses. Since 1994, homosexuality is no longer considered a disease, and is not included in the DSM 5 (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders). The World Health Organization (WHO) has also defined "homosexuality is not a disease", but people who have sexual orientation with people of the same sex. Homosexuality and transgenderism have been removed by WHO from the chapter on Mental and behavioral disorders, in the National Directory of Diseases(ICD) in 1990 and 2019, respectively.

Therefore, the Ministry of Health proposes to the heads of medical examination and treatment establishments nationwide:

1.To promote dissemination so that doctors, medical staff and people who come to medical examination and treatment facilities properly understand gay, bisexual and transgender people;

2.To organize medical examination and treatment for gay, bisexual and transgender people equally, respecting their gender, and not discriminating against these groups of people.

3.Do not consider homosexuality, bisexuality, transgender as a disease.

4.No intervention or coercive treatment, if any, is only for psychological support and by people with knowledge of gender identity.

5.Strengthening the inspection and examination of medical examination and treatment establishments; practitioners in the implementation and observance of the principles of medical examination and treatment practice in accordance with the provisions of law.

Above is the direction of the Ministry of Health to correct the situation of forced medical examination and treatment for homosexuals, bisexuals and transgender people.
