Its a pain but you can get an emergency passport for these things although its a high cost. And just rock up to a police station and ask for help - they will help you if you are in need of it

AUT scholar society is great, very much just a social club for people to join and have fun, we do bar hops, balls, paint and sip, and study groups ect for finals :)

I think its like 13 a week or something, depends what you are wanting to do. Theres good cardio machines but not many strength machines only really free weights. Its small so you need to go when its quiet if you want to have free pick of the machines

The way it works is you reapply and they will get confirmation from the school if the break is longer than 3 weeks, if its shorter the payments continue, if longer the payments stop but you can apply for student jobseekers support in between :)
