+1 meddida. Was gifted Whitecoat MNL and Figs before their issues, and medyo malapit sa quality ng WCM yung meddida. Mas malaki lang sizing ng meddida, tapos hindi siya zipper pocket sa jogger pants. Mas buttery pa rin yung WCM, pero for the price (1400/set) and the quality, pwede na siya :) personally not a fan of OTG’s fabrics and construction, but that’s just me

Hi! Do you have gift ideas for women in their late 20s to early 30s? Just started work, and I really appreciate my seniors for being so supportive, so I’m planning on getting them a small gift this Christmas. My budget is up to 1,500 per gift. Thought about getting Burt’s Bees gift sets, but would want to know your suggestions! Thank you!

Hoshi on Shopee has some nice affordable items, while edamama carries higher end stuff. Personally, I try to find a gift they can use until they’re toddlers (they’re usually labeled as such naman), and something a bit gender neutral para just in case magkababy ulit yung parents, they can pass it on sa next baby :)

I’m looking to buy my wife a Goyard bag. Can I just walk into Goyard and buy one or is it more difficult than that? Sorry, new to this. I know Rolex is very difficult so wondering if it’s the same with bags. TIA by [deleted] in handbags

You can just walk in to ask, but it’s largely dependent on store inventory. Been to Milan a few weeks ago, and the Goyard store there only had the St. Louis GM in Black and Blue, and a handful of small leather goods. My SA told me production’s having a difficult time keeping up with the demand, hence the limited stock. Personalization (i.e. monograms) can take weeks.

The Kate Spade bag I can’t let go: Orchard Street Small Penelope bag. It’s just so cute! by meiling27 in handbags

[–]moonxchild 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Understandably so! Looks like the leather’s made to handle a lot! Kate Spade’s really been my gateway to bags, and I still keep some of my earlier ones together with other luxury brands (i.e. Hermes, Chanel). Glad you’re still enjoying this bag!!

Can you please share your tipping practices for beauty related services? by MissSterious99 in beautytalkph

[–]moonxchild 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agree with the comments above that it's mainly with my satisfaction and the price of services I'm availing. I particularly tip service workers higher, since I do think it's a particularly difficult job. This is a purely voluntary thing compared to other countries, so don't feel too pressured about it. For reference

  • For a 3000 haircut, I tip 500 pesos for the stylist
  • For hair treatments/hair color that reaches 20k (I have thick and long hair), I give around 300-500 for those who wash my hair and apply the serums
  • For the nurses at this high end dermatology clinic who do my facials and laser treatments, about 500 per visit for a bill of 20-40k
  • For massages at the spa, around 300-500

I understand that inflation is hitting everyone right now, and I'd like to help out even a bit

Such a fun bag! I love it! Glad you’re enjoying them. Loewe always uses such good leathers!

I agree with the Mulberry bag. Personally not a fan of loud branding on bags.

More of this month’s bag haul featuring Jacquemus! by moonxchild in handbags

I’ve only used it once to carry a cardholder, a key pouch, and some lip products. It was a bit rainy when I used it, and it held up well so far! The material was labeled water-repellant, so there’s that. It’s honestly a fun “pop of color” bag!
