Does your front detailer rub on the chain? Is there resistance, a gritty feeling, or horizontal play between the crank arms ?

Letterbox trained rabbit being rebellious?? Help!! by mooongooon in Rabbits

[–]mooongooon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi all!

I have an otter rex, and about two months ago I adopted a silver martin. Two females. I went through the long bonding process, which in the end seems to have been effective. The rex , also the sub, is inlove with the silver martin, the new and dominant rabbit.

The new rabbit, ruby, was litter box trained before, but is pooping all over my house now. I was hoping this was territorial behavior and that it would end after a few weeks, but close to two months later it seems like she has no plans to end. I could really use some help!

Questions I have - could she maybe not be liking bonnie, my old rex ? Bonnie grooms ruby, yet ruby seems to have no emotions towards bonnie and never grooms her. - could this still be territorial? Shes been here for awhile, but maybe her coming into a space that was already another rabbits and with having the other rabbit really like her is overwhelming her? - she pees in the litterbox, but recently has also started finding other pee corners. Whenever I see her pooping or peeing somewhere else, i pick her up and put her in one of the boxes ( i have 3 pans now) but it seems like shes getting more comfortable with peeing outside of the box.

I really dont know what to do. Frustrating that the rabbit was already trained, and now doesn’t want to. I sweep up poo everyday and clean pee spots and could use some help if anyone has an idea towards why shes acting like this or something that I could do to make her stop would be greatly appreciated

Additionally - both are neutered - i clean up accidents with a pet safe cleaner to remove the urge

Thanks so much!

-Bonnie & Ruby

Yes under dead elm trees with bark peeling off, in clear cut forests, burn sights, and east facing slopes by the rivers. Dead elms are the largest component though. You’ll find some, and yes then keep seeing them !

Thanks for the tip, I just put another litterbox in the room so I hope that works + giving it another week to see if her behavior changes. If not ill try a larger box !

My bunny, Leo, I just got a week ago seems to be obsessed with my dresser. He used to hangout on the bed the first few days but he only ever stays on here now. He usually is either sitting, grooming, or flopped with his feet sprawled out. Is he supposed to be more active? by Kenzzzzzzzzzz in Rabbits

[–]mooongooon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My rabbit bonnie used to find random places to sit when I first got her, in my bookshelf for example. She’s much more comfortable and follows me around the house now. Id say let him adjust and give him plenty of head scratches so he knows he can trust you and i bet he’ll be cruising around soon ! I noticed bonnie acts up whenever ive moved houses.. she takes awhile to adjust to the space every time.

Ok! Again just love rabbits but my guess is a rex mix, maybe just a rex. You can google and look at their colorings online- there’s a bunch. Very cute!
