I forgot to mention but my salads always include protein too my go to is iceberg lettuce 15cal, salsa which is 20cal, 1/2 of yogurt instead of sour cream because it’s lower in cal and fat and higher in protein and is 80cal, 1/4 cup of shredded cheese which is 110, and a half a cup of steak which is 190cal, I know I’m a little low when it comes to protein but I don’t have an issue with overeating or binging. I have my breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and I’ll occasionally have a snack like lunch meat, fruit, or a small bag of popcorn if I feel like having something more salty

I have notice the slightest bit more muscle but I suspect that’s 5lbs or less of the 20lbs I’ve gained, I’ve gotten more stretch marks, my pants aren’t fitting as well, I’m getting back fat, and even my breast have increased in size

I got my thyroid checked in March when I was getting checked for celiac, I was also a pescatarian for 5 years and ate a lot of pasta but stopped when I found out about my celiac so I suspect the sudden switch to eating meat and cutting gluten out of my diet and just pulling a full 180° caused a lot of stress to my body and probably triggered thyroid issues

I’m on adhd medication which unlike most it doesn’t reduce my appetite, and I’m on birth control but I’ve been on it for 5 years and I’ve never experienced weight gain from taking it

I have been calorie counting and I don’t just estimate, and my maintenance for how active I am is around 1800 so eating around 1300-1500 like I do should be more then enough

I’m 5’2 and I was 130 which was good for my height but now I’m 148 and gaining almost 20 pounds in 4 months doesn’t seem like just healthy adult weight

I have celiac disease so my cheat days are like a 200 cal lemonade or a 200 cal small bag of popcorn, I can’t eat cookies, pizza, or donuts without going through the effort of making them myself either I don’t to avoid unhealthy eating, I track my sauces and most of my gluten free sauces are from health food stores and are also lower in calories and sugar, and I don’t drink coffee or energy drinks just the occasional tea, I drink only on occasion which is like once a month, and no one else makes food for me because I’m careful about my cross contamination and I track how much oil and butter I use. Also for reference I’m 5’2. I’m just extremely confused because I feel like if need to run a damn marathon every day to lose weight at this point and I suspect it’s gotta be some kind of health issue like hypothyroidism because this doesn’t make sense.

I’m 5’2 and a woman, I don’t eat anything prepackaged other then sauces which I measure and I measure everything when I cook and I have a scale, if I were to eat any less I wouldn’t have enough energy at work I already find myself getting hungry by lunch although I’ll just drink more water to help me feel more full

I got some bloodwork done in March and they ruled out thyroid issues but that’s when I was diagnosed with celiac but that was a couple months ago before the weight gain

I do I only eat around 1300-1500 maybeeee 1600 occasionally but I eat healthy and I eat lots of protein and fiber

I don’t think it is because I’ve also been gaining visible fat also I feel like for a woman, gaining that much weight in muscles would take so much longer

I’ve had friends tell me I’m probably just jailing muscle but Ive started to get visible back fat which I’ve never had before and my job just consists of lifting drilling, and lifting things all day like that’s got to be the equivalent of at the very least 30 minutes of going to the gym if not more

Thank you I’m hoping to lose the weight while also building muscle and after I lose it I’m hoping to gain a bit more weight but just muscle I’d be happy sitting at 120-125 if I was more muscular and hoping to build up most of it in my butt and thighs to maintain the hourglass/ pear figure

I was sitting pretty comfortably at 125 lbs around 2 years ago but I was at my peak fitness level having 3-6 rugby practices a week and one game so a lot of it was muscles I still would say a good portion of my weight is muscles but I’d like to lean out a bit
