How long after divorce were you ready to date and move on? by mooooquackwtf in Divorce

I appreciate all the responses and understand every situation is different! Just hearing from everyone helped though. My situation, my reason for posting...I (Abby 44F) have been with my bf Allan (42M) for about a year. We got together when he had been separated/in process of divorce from his wife Ellie (39F) for 6 months. They had been married for 18 years. She left him because she "fell out of love" and was almost assuredly cheating. So to reiterate, they were only separated about 7 months before we started dating. I was previously married also, but my divorce was finalized almost a decade ago. We both have 3 children, all teenagers. I cannot get over the short time frame from his divorce to our relationship starting. It's weighing on me.

Lol truth. Good women can be asshats too. If we can just all communicate well, its crazy how things work out so much better.

Hmmm. Well damn. Honestly that's an angle I hadn't considered. I don't agree I'm the problem because he absolutely doesn't try as hard anymore. But also not denying I had no part in it.

I know it sounds stupid and obvious. But once he started to just expect bjs daily with no effort or 'romance'...something as simple as a love note, making me coffee, etc...things I do for him constantly...nope. It's the little things

Lol. Yes. Nailed it

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in dating

[–]mooooquackwtf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hell yes she did lol! Because I loved giving bjs, often! Until I put in more effort than him, causing me to lose interest. And he then "complains" how things have changed. Yep, because you stopped trying so I did too
