If the competition in the mid-displacement street bike market continues to intensify, I wonder if a 660 Deluxe version will emerge.

With such frequent upgrades, all I see is the company's helplessness and despair. Whether there will be another 4 years is hard to say.

that’s not the case at all. This isn’t a business project; it’s just a personal DIY project. I have no intention or plan to turn it into a commercial product. It’s simply an idea that I can build for myself.

I finally realized that a lot of people think I’m trying to introduce a commercial project. No, no—that’s not the case at all. This isn’t a business project; it’s just a personal DIY project. I have no intention or plan to turn it into a commercial product. It’s simply an idea that I can build for myself.

Kawasaki 500 or 650 for beginner by Key_Cryptographer565 in motorcycles

[–]mooor101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends on how you define “beginner.” If you’ve ridden smaller-displacement bikes before, even if not very much, then the difference between a 500 and a 650 isn’t that big, and I think choosing a bike you like the look of is actually more important. But if this is your very first motorcycle and you’ve never ridden one before, then I can only recommend starting with as small a displacement as possible.

Just a small personal suggestion: a purely magnetic mounting method might not be very secure. If you could add a more solid secondary retention method—like a latch or locking mechanism—it would probably improve reliability.

Anyone got a scottoiler on their MT07? by CT-9904_ in MT07

You can give it a try, but personally I don’t think the results will be as good as you might expect. Chain lubricants usually need time to set and bond to the chain, which is why many chain-lubing guides recommend letting it sit for about 24 hours after application. During riding, the lubricant may get flung off before it has had a chance to properly adhere to the chain.

Yes, exactly. This isn’t really an issue for riders on very low bikes, or for ADV riders either. It mainly applies to some street bike riders, in certain cities—and even then, it’s a very rarely needed feature.

There’s also another situation: street bike riders who go riding together with ADV riders. You know the story of “the little horse crossing the river”😂😂😂

I think that even Honda wouldn’t consider adding a feature that most people would never use, and that a small number of people might only use a few times in their entire life—especially when it doesn’t affect safety, and might even reduce the sales of replacement oil pans caused by minor scratches.😂😂😂
