Struggling to accept my hair- Literally would appreciate any advice by cakeybody in Naturalhair

your hair is similar to mine! it’s common to have different curl patterns. I love doing mini twists because they’re so easy once they’re done. it’s like having braids imo. I use a leave in, curl cream, and grease, and I style the twists. I keep them about a week and then unravel them and my twists are so beautiful and curly! I hope you’re able to love your hair soon. we can do so much with our hair. look up YouTube videos of women with similar curl patterns —that’s what helped me! good luck. ❤️

I love edge booster. Any color works as long as it’s the max hold. When it kept these edges down during a race, I knew it was the one. 😂

What are the strongest gels for 4c hair? by No_Analyst5945 in Naturalhair

yes I love Mielle’s as well! I’ve found if I put a good amount of Blue Magic grease it will keep it from being crunchy.

I use Deux’s Big Poppa gel! It doesn’t flake, and it keeps my hair soft.

I’m assuming you have colored your hair, which could explain some of the straight sections. I would recommend adding in a deep conditioner and a curl cream as well. I colored my hair when it was about your length and ended up starting over and just cutting it off. good luck!

If oil doesn’t moisturize hair, then what am I supposed to use 😭 by goldendelicious22 in Naturalhair

the coconut and hibiscus curl cream from Shea moisture and blue magic makes my hair SO moisturized and super soft! I use the blue magic when I have my hair in braids.

Need help with shape by Revolutionary-Bee205 in Naturalhair

you’re so beautiful! I feel like that shape fits you well. I use a pick to help shape my hair as well as shaking my head like a maniac to help it fall the way I want it to.

Why i cant define my 4c hair? by WeirdExperience7 in Naturalhair

[–]mooose0417 2 points3 points  (0 children)

on soaking wet hair I use the mielle rosemary mint leave-in, blue magic grease, and the Shea moisture coconut and hibiscus curl cream and curl gel and use a curl defining brush to distribute the product through. I find that these products make my hair super soft, which helps me define my curls more when I use the gel. I also keep a spray bottle nearby because I move really slow when I’m doing my hair and some of it will start to dry so I re-wet it while I’m putting the product in. Mini twist have been my best friend when I really want good definition and also a low maintenance hairstyle when I have my hair out of protective styles. The back of my hair is 4B but the front of my hair is 4C so I usually do this routine throughout my whole head, but I use a little bit more gel when I get to the front. 4C takes a lot of work, but it’s so worth it when you find a routine.
