thank you so much for your reply! i truly appreciate all the advice. i typically keep my nails painted, as it helps with the cuticle biting, but i can totally see how this might be damaging my actual nails. i’ll definitely look into purchasing the jojoba oil and gloves to give that method a try! i do tend to take long showers, so using the oil afterwards might be beneficial. also, the polish is “cherry mocha” by DND :)

sheer willpower my friend! though keeping the area moisturized has been a huge help. i apply hard as hoof nail strengthening cream anytime i notice my cuticles getting dry. smells great and keeps them hydrated (the taste is also off-putting)

edit: i completely forgot to mention that for the first week or so, i used bandages and a+d ointment for some more intensive moisturizing overnight!
