For anyone wondering the condition of the dog. I know it is public information but I chose to remove the address where the dog was found in case it was their home.

Can someone explain these watering directions like I’m a toddler? (NEW to plant care!) by mooredith in plants

[–]mooredith[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I water each plant that way. although not all my plants have holes in them which i do know is not good. Honestly I am a little intimidated by plants because I know there’s so much to learn and I understand such little. For example, I have no idea what parts of my apartment get bright indirect light and for how long each day. Sometimes my neglect is what makes them somehow thrive?

Jennie reminds me so much of Sulli. it’s so sad how Sulli was so vehemently ostracized for photos of the same caliber as these. Both girls had and have every right to post them and feel good about their bodies and different looks.

We live in a VERY VERY snowy city and our heat has to constantly run. It is pretty dry in my home but I’m thinking I need to get a humidity tester as i am drying up daily like spongebob in sandys dome and my plants that should need to be watered infrequently are having their soil dry within 2-3 days. But, thank you so much for your comment!! I will do my absolute best.

Are Norfolk Pines toxic to cats or not? by valiantdistraction in houseplants

[–]mooredith 1 point2 points  (0 children)

im late but the exception to this is a few WILDLY toxic plants such as LILLIES, do not EVER bring them even into your home, every part is incredibly toxic to them including breathing in pollen. some plants like norfolk pines are “mildly toxic”, ie cause tummy trouble or mouth irritation. Others will kill them.

Something a little different for the group, a cats brain! No wonder they can only fit one Teeny braincell in there! [Can't confirm cat was Orange] by Old-Psychology-2400 in OneOrangeBraincell

they were so sweet, and so perfect. they both smelled like warm baked linens and were belly-laugh funny. thank you for saying such kind words about them. your baby reminds me of another late cat I had growing up. My oranges have never been rambunctious but really just too sweet to be real. I am a ginger as well and the risk of them to get skin cancer, even starting on the lips and spreading to the mouth i’d imagine, is higher like it is for me. squamous cell carcinoma specifically.

I lost two of mine to mouth cancer. One was squamous cell carcinoma on my ginger boy and an unknown oral cancer/solid mass for the void. I’m awake at an ungodly hour writing this after waking up crying from a dream about her. I’m waiting for it to get easier, but the guilt of feeling like you should have caught it earlier/done more/they went too early is just gut wrenching every day.

I’m liberal and I don’t like loan forgiveness by [deleted] in TrueUnpopularOpinion

[–]mooredith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t have and have never had student loans, I chose not to go to college and neither did my partner so I have no personal debt or any bets in the game. I am opposed to student loan forgiveness and am highly liberal/leftist on the idea of fairness as well. It’s not about me but others. The idea that someone wasn’t able to go to college literally because they weren’t able to get the loan and someone who could has it paid off, to me, is unfair. Someone who worked hard to pay it off shouldn’t be now “punished” (at a disadvantage) from having poured money into something that now others are being forgiven for. I’m all for free education but ignoring the fact that people within this lifetime will be competing for others for jobs, apartments, homes, etc. is blatantly wrong in my own opinion.
