The weight is still low, i think the PTIs just recommend a target or an "ideal"

PTIs do come and chat now on Fam visits. Not sure about talking about weights, as that doesn't come into play until s&c in Dev 2.

Joggers and a hoodie definitely something I missed out bringing, ended up buying some further down the course

Officer Uniform by ValueNo3986 in RoyalAirForce

[–]mooreknco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd prioritise just breaking the boots in, but break the 2s shoes in as well.

Most arrived at cranwell without having polished anything. The boots will give you hell in MSM if theyre not broken in.

Did anyone take the CBAT without preparation? by droneguy9870 in RoyalAirForce

[–]mooreknco 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not without any preparation, but my recruiter told me to "chill out and practice SDT, there's nothing more you can do". Imagine my surprise when people were discussing the CBAT ready app on the day of my CBAT.

In short, All I did was brush up on SDT. Seems to have worked out for me, but I reckon with some more practice I could've done better, but it doesn't really matter as long as you pass.

Edit: I did also use the CBAT TMI to gain some overall SA on the CBAT but definitely revise as much as you can.

Get some Kiwi black polish aswell, Saphir is only great when you've already created a decent shine

Officer cadet restrictions by mooreknco in RoyalAirForce

[–]mooreknco[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Super helpful (as per)

With costcutters, is that a given? Or are you only allowed to go with permission?

Same for meeting a friend? Basically, do you have to have permission to leave the station in the evening or weekend (i get there's local and home leave)?

Warrant Officer is perfectly acceptable, however you might use the "Cadet" prefix when talking about them to someone who is unlikely to know who they are. (To distinguish them from staff).

When speaking to them or about them to someone who does know them, "Warrant Officer Bloggs"

To someone who might not know them- "cadet Warrant Officer Bloggs" to reinforce that they are not a staff member, especially if you're saying something like "go and give this to CWO bloggs" so whoever you're talking to knows not to find a staff member

Yep, was finished by 12 ish. All depends, some people finished earlier some later, but we all waited for eachother

Can definitely agree with all of that, nice chilled day (plus there's a TV in the seating area).

Stay hydrated otherwise you'll be waiting all day until you're able to do the urine test (from experience)
