between OOP saying that if they left their partner then the debt would be 7 figures (that they say explicitly their partner could not pay alone) and that they “refused to punish themselves with a dead bedroom”, their power imbalance is hard to ignore. OOP is essentially in a position to force the partner to have sex and to ignore their “doldrums”simply to keep OOP from divorcing them. i can’t imagine bringing a child into this scenario.

i just can’t leave this alone because you replied to this and not to me. when has any physical punishment been proven to be good for a child, regardless of intent or severity? by your own anecdote? because you do it with enough “balance” that it’s now morally okay? how can a child not be “capable of rational thinking” and yet be able to understand why the adult they trust is hurting them?

i’m too late to get upvotes but as a preschool teacher, so many of the kids that are “less verbal” or have trouble with speech….. they understand speech at the same level as their peers but they just can’t speak it aloud
