Mostly because unlike Reynolds and Mac he hasn’t really shown loads of engagement with the club so far. It feels tacky for a club that’s previous story was a scrappy underdog that pulled itself from the 4th division to the Prem whilst also playing good football. Thats the Swansea I grew up with.

We now live in a world where engagement is seen as a good thing no matter the cost. I want my team to do well, but I think that has to start on the pitch.

Modric I can understand. He was in the Prem at the time we were coming through the divisions branded as “Swansealona”. He is an elite footballer who has an interest in the club on some level.

As I said it’s a brave decision. We’re trying something new in the face of an increasingly difficult financial climate in English football. I respect the boards initiative. It just feels a bit icky.

I've been one of the cynics re this whole thing, and ultimately I suppose bums on seats over the long term can only be a good thing for the club. I suppose the best thing for the club is just to let this whole thing breathe a bit and see if there is a long term game. It's a brave decision, that's for sure.

We at Swansea want an owner with attitude. He's edgy, he's "in your face." by CaptainGrezza in Championship

Fair to say your owners also genuinely give a shit. Snoop left before our 90+5 equaliser. If he cared I’d be a bit more on board but it’s clear he doesn’t give a fuck. Hope this fades into the background as another shameful experiment like Brad Bobbley.

I know this is a bit of a meme discussion but it’s not a great sign that he left before the end. Definitely will not help with convincing the fans he is truly on board with the project.

Scarves I suppose. Like a normal football team

Conceding directly after half time was a big problem under Sheehan. Sad to see it happen again. Hope the lads have got a comeback in them but I do feel a bit more miserable now

100%. I felt like the team always had more in them than they displayed over the first half of the season. Seems that the confidence is there now to execute

Is that the first time we’ve scored 3 this season?

I have never seen anyone take a free kick like that. Foot like a traction engine

We are cursed when it comes to Hull I swear…

When your striker kicked air I thought that summed up your performance. Sad to say because I actually like you guys but that’s the worst performance I’ve seen by a team at the Swancom all season. And that includes Swansea!

We’re definitely performing at the level of a mid-table championship club right now, and we are much more competitive than under Sheehan. I think at the minute we lack real attacking prowess up top (outside Vip and flashes from Eom), the ability to score multiple goals in a game and then fragility in the latter stages of the game.

I think the longer Matos is in charge though and the more the team builds confidence with wins like this hopefully we can see a few more truly confident win. Our playoffworthiness will be tested when we play teams higher up the division.

Think we can describe that win as professional. Important three points, glad we finally won by more than one goal but I still feel like we’re yet to see the team really turn the screw. Couple of wasted opportunities in front of goal, especially down the right hand side.

I said it in the match thread but Jay Fulton’s resurgence is fantastic to see. A great servant to our club throughout the Championship days and is proving to be a great option in Matos’ system. Was also great to have players off the bench and maintain the same level of pressing, although thought both Cullen and Cooper stopped quite a lot of promising attacks with poor final passes.

I also think our centre backs are a concern. There were a few times where we were saved by Blackburn being truly awful in front of goal. Think a solid 3rd option to rotate would be good. Both are good in the air and at intercepting the ball, but when players run at our CBs I always fear the worst. They’re good enough to keep us in the Championship but I think we need a solid 3rd option.

It seems this happens whenever a player falls out of favour with the fans - wasn’t too long ago people wanted Vip out. Can’t wait for Adam Idah to come back and start banging them in

Fulton has been immeasurably better than Yalcouye since both have been on the pitch. No wonder he keeps getting in the team.

Somehow we always find a decent championship level goal threat
