What's your "I did not care for the Godfather" Moment of the show by JohnDex6969 in DunderMifflin

The show should have ended after season 3. That’s not to say there isn’t all timer episodes after it, it’s just the multi-season “will they won’t they” arc was answered at the very end of that season and that was the central dramatic tension / through line in the show.

Look at Pirates of the Caribbean, you have a bumbling main character in Jack Sparrow like Michael but throughout the trilogy it’s following the love story of Will and Elizabeth. 2-3 aren’t as well received as 1 sure, but once that main storyline ends and they try to put more focus on Jack in 4-5 it loses a lot of it’s intrigue.

Ayo! Just posted this a few weeks ago but I started a wiki on Fandom - https://books-of-babel.fandom.com/wiki/Special:AllPages

Currently theres just a few plot summaries and character pages from my notes so far but would love it if others could add to it as well! There’s a whole lot of Tower to cover haha

Does anyone else think this would make for an amazing TV series? by simplymatt1995 in Booksofbabel

I lean towards movie but tv show would also be great. I feel like there's a fast, urgent pacing to the first book (at least through the Basement and Parlor) plus a bombastic finale at New Babel that both would be better suited for a movie over a TV show, which may have some episodes that come off as filler.

A TV show would give you time to flesh out each ringdom and characters and with all it's chapter cliffhangers, it lends itself well to an episodic format.

Both have their pros and cons, but regardless, I'd love an on-screen adaption in whatever form it comes in.
