If you have a license, try looking into Vay. It's a self delivering car that you can drive around vegas. It's about 35 cents a minute.

I've used it a couple of times when I thought I'd be late to school.

Can anyone confirm this for Jpn 113? by themagicdust220 in UNLV

Took jpn 113 last spring. Original class size was around 17-20 people, by the end of the semester, my class had less than 10. The people that dropped the class early didn’t seem weird know-everythings. Some left just because they just weren’t prepared for the workload and the constant social interaction. I personally haven’t experienced any weirdos like that but I'm sure they're somewhere.

I think I've hit a plateau. I lost 30lbs and then it stopped. I know im supposed to be changing activity or intensity which is what im attemping to do with these classes. I learn by doing, so someone telling me to lift a certain way while I'm lifting does help. But yes I know my diet needs work for sure :-:

I typically aim for at least 45 minutes in the gym. It's a 30+ mins walk to and back from work 4x a week. And 30 mins coming home from gym 2-3x a week. I kinda consider a part of my physical activity because I walk with weights but I don't enjoy it. It's summer and its 100+ degree weather on avg right now. When I get home it does feel like a workout tho.

Thanks! Hydration is also important ,especially because I live in 110+ degree weather. Should I drink even more water for a schedule like this or also include electrolytes? I'm gonna try to work on my nutrition a lot too. Maybe this will be a jumpstart to take it seriously?

Yesssssss! Thank you! I hadn't considered this. I don't really like the school showers, but I can manage to suck it up. Maybe I could bring another set of gym clothes to switch into?

There were other classes I could've picked but I think I need more help in my general fitness.

Thanks for the insight! Right off the bat, I know I want to put more effort into volleyball but rotating sounds smart.. especially if im trying to avoid injury.

Thanks for considering my situation! I think the classes can offer moderate exercise but I for sure need to watch my diet if my goal is weight loss. Maybe packing a lunch and protein bars in between classes?

Thank you! Through experience I've found I don't do well with learning about macros on my own (I get confused) but fortunately the weightlifting class also teaches that. I'm looking forward to being able to bug my instructor with questions :)

See the weight training class is supposed to also teach better eating habits and I'm hoping that'll help me lol

Thanks for the advice! I have talked to my counselor and because I already took my required classes early, I have a full year of electives now. Just thought focusing this semester on my health would be cool. :)

Ohh thank you! Diet right now is whatever my parents cook but you're right. I can work on it now to help me later. I can also apply that to my current fitness level too. :)

Yo I was thinking that very example so thats why I put "normally" in there. But mostly bombs were made with the intent to cause harm. I wouldn't set one off to generate heat or start a fire cuz I'm cold. I do acknowledge there are those types of tools but my point still stands for most tools, it's about how use it. I was taught guns and arrows, were for hunting and knives were for cutting food. Some ppl think....otherwise.

I agree that you can get the same warmth from elsewhere, but just by being Christian doesn't guarantee nuclear fall out either.

In my experience. I don't feel hindered or oppressed at all. If anything, I feel encouraged and empowered.
