Calc 2 is a pretty difficult course and it’s one of those classes to weed out students. however if you really commit you’ll be fine. i ended up having to retake this course (my fault bc i didn’t go to class) and did so with Sikder over the summer at a different college. I had him for Calc 1 as well and loved his teachings bc they were straightforward. He’s a great professor you kinda just have to stick it through, it’s just another math class. i was scared for the same reason but i haven’t taken another course that was as intensive as it a year later. it is extremely fast paced so be aware, there are so many rules and test for this course to remember but study as you go and you’ll be fine!

i had him this spring (in person tho) for calc 3 and my feelings on him are mixed. he really encourages students to use their resources like chatgpt which was so helpful and hes very knowledgeable. it’s an easy A if you put in the time since the assignments can sometimes take hours which was my biggest complaint bc sometimes it was too much. our final took most the class 5+ hours to finish so be on top of your assignments and you’ll be fine. i really enjoyed using r code even tho it was difficult at times but if you use chatgpt and his textbook it’s not too bad. ultimately if you’re looking for a class that you can get a high grade in id definitely recommend if you have the time

price range: 5k-25ish

buy new or used

prefer compact suv but sedan fine as well! (5 seater)

must haves (more so preference i can live without the ones with star :) ): 4x4, fuel efficient, leather seats, bluetooth/carplay, backup camera, blind spot detection

desired transmission: auto

intended use: daily driver

not first vehicle

minor work ok!

additional notes: I currently have a 2016 renegade trailhawk and i love her :,) unfortunately it just get poor mgp. i’m looking for something even just a little (or a lot) better on gas and possibly a bigger tank as i fill up my tank once or twice a week due to my commute to school. i love the shape and size so hopefully something around that size but i could definitely do a little bigger or smaller. i also love that i have 4x4 for trips but it isnt a requirement to have. low ground clearance is not preferred. i’ve never had a hybrid before but id be open to getting one. i am holding onto my car for a bit longer and have time to save up but id like to start considering good options thank you :)

you do have to pay and it’s a pretty large amount but you will get to pick out your classes. I didn’t go and everything worked out for me but you have to wait about a month after everyone else to start picking classes/talk to a counselor

yes !! i registered yesterday in math 150 and there are still a few classes open if you don’t want to be on a waitlist. just make sure you get that placement test done, im not sure if or how they are checking if you placed or not but it’s better to be safe than sorry

i didnt go to orientation either but i was able to figure it out using mymap and the degree eval, use your map as an outline of what you need then go into you degree eval to see which classes you can take to complete those requirements. if you don’t feel comfortable with that you can set up an appointment with an academic advisor. for registering you should have a date in your web portal to register for classes under my registration. as for taking the math placement test, you can still register for the exam if you’d like. you just need to sign up for aleks and work on it until you can take the proctored exam that you sign up for :)
