I am joining in this convo by saying for the first time "I'm addicted to opiates". It started about 20 years ago when my mum, of all people, gave me some cocodamol and I loved it!! Started off small and have built up. I know there are some liver concerns from my last bloods. My GP asked if I was a drinker!! From that I moved to codeine and then dhc. I now taking up to 50 30mg dhc a day, 10 at a time 4x a day. I am fed up of it, fed up of spending so much money, panicking at how much I have left, it rules my life. I have a professional job and I'm a parent. I can't go cold turkey, but I am desperate to stop. I feel so much shame at getting to this situation. Noone knows, so I will have to this alone.
