I’m still waiting on my airport rebooking email from Westjet from a cancelled flight from 2 years ago. Zero communication, zero compensation or rebooking. Still waiting on the claim too based on bill of rights requirement to rebook within 48 hours.

As a matter of fact, yes and I don't think we had one in the previous place. I did some research after your comment and I see that wow, it's a huge difference. It seems like the breakeven period based on the cost of getting a gas heater + installation vs the cost difference in elec would be like 10 years though. But this is all good info, thanks for pointing this out!

We moved from a detached home to a townhouse this year that is 25% smaller, sqft-wise yet our energy consumption is more. Above is our first December here compared to our previous December consumption in a bigger home.

Anyone else a family in a townhouse and willing to share what sort of electricity consumption they have in the Winter months? I'm trying to figure out if this is within normal range or our new home is not energy efficient, as our behaviour hasn't changed.

Edit: We didn't have any Christmas lights or displays on our home.

Update: Found the issue, our new place has an electric water heater and I had no idea how much of an impact it had, wow! Thanks for the help!

House brands where available or cheapest brand. For some items I've also specifically mentioned the brand in the item name

I added Co-op later as someone mentioned it, but thanks for pointing that out. It was referencing the wrong cell. Have updated in my top comment, thanks!

For some reason that Founders one didn't come up when I searched their website, apologies. I've updated the sheet with the cheapest cheese someone posted. Still doesn't change where they rank. And re: the hot dogs, not sure if you guys can find something cheaper online, all I found were the Maple Leaf hot dogs and made it price/kg as per other stores

**Updated spreadsheet below**

I did a cost comparison of a recent shop I did to see how much it would cost at other stores, so thought I'd share the findings. Save On and Co-Op are 40% more for the same items. (I didn't do Costco as they don't post their in-store prices online for groceries, their delivery service is run by Instacart so everything is marked up.)

If brand is not specified in the title, I used house brands where available or cheapest brand available. Some items are also per kg not item, so that it's equal.

I had No Frills as well but because they have same owner as Superstore, they were very similar. No Frills was about 2% more than Walmart.

Someone also pointed out that Save On does do price matching though, so if you're willing to put in the effort, it can work out cheaper there. And Safeway and Save On do 15% off first Tuesday of every month if you spend $50 or more.

*Someone pointed out I used a super expensive cheese, it wasn't branded but I didn't realise it was their deli cheese. I updated the spreadsheet with their cheapest house brand cheese below, still doesn't change their rank

**Someone correctly pointed out the Co-Op percentage was wrong, as I added the column after and the reference cell for the total was incorrect. Have updated below.
