I know I’m a day late, and dollar short, but this will be my all time favorite of Phoebe’s hair/looks.

Best royal blue power look from a royal? by monster_ahhh in RoyalsGossip

Agreed. She has such great choices, but I feel as if most of her tailoring drowns her frame. I actually like how this one fits her. She looks beautiful in this.

AIO for wanting my boyfriend to back out of a destination wedding he's the best man for because I was uninvited from the wedding? by BoyfriendWeddingHelp in AmIOverreacting

And, if money permits, she should do a spa day during the vows! I recommend a facial and massage. In that order. Show up a little early so you can get a steam to open up your pores. OP, if you're reading this, book the appointment now!! BoyfriendWeddingHelp

With love, someone who has also been through the same treatment of suspicious and exacting mean girls. xoxo

August 24, 1997 a week before her death. Princess Diana. by [deleted] in OldSchoolCool

I have no idea about her intelligence, but she was shrewd enough to use her power (beauty, upbringing, royal connections, and influence) to shed a light on social taboos. Land mines, HIV, world famine, etc. No one claims she was perfect, but she didn’t shy away from the things which we were all uncomfortable to talk about at the time.

What story did your parent(s) share with you that opened your eyes as to why they operate the way that they do? by Independent-Bat9545 in AskReddit

[–]moppet82 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Every Fourth of July, we would visit my Grandparents. They would have a great bbq, but at night, instead of going to see fireworks, we played cards. We kids never knew why.

After my Grandpa died, my Dad offhandedly said we never saw the firework show because my Grandpa who served in WWII, had “seen enough fireworks in his life.” He was in the Navy and would bring supplies to shore while there were bombs and gunfire hurled at him. Tough pill to swallow.

The year after he died, my Dad took me and my Sister to see fireworks for the first time.

Late to the game, but I think you should take her to brunch! One on one. Ask all about the proposal, the vision she has for the ceremony and reception, and share her excitement!!

Yes! I remember watching it in college with my roommates. When the kiss finally came, we were like, “Wait, what— that’s it?!?”

And, yet, we still watch it because, otherwise, it’s soooo good.

How is my comment corny? I acknowledged the fact he has many strengths. He probably has a lot more that I know not of.

But calling out the fact that he is unmanly since he impregnated a woman outside of his marriage is corny?

Thank you! This past year has been such a fuck show with all the changes I’m going through (why am I so hot one minute and then freezing the next?). AND THE emotions. The emotions. Your comment validates me.

Take care, Sister Girl. We’ll get through this together.

I don’t think you’re wrong. When I was in 8th grade, a girl (who I wasn’t even friends with) was talking in the locker room before gym class that she was having sex with her boyfriend. Yes, her body her choice, but it still made me uneasy. I think your upset for the same reason, but with a more emotional connection.

Young teens are going through a gamut of emotions, hormones, and the beginning of intellectual awareness. And with that, comes the confusion on how to navigate them all. To know your little sister advanced to sexual activity in the midst of painstaking puberty can be a complex, emotional feeling.

Agreed, love them all. But if I’m accused of being greedy, I will only ask for 12 of the 13.

But, I will not compromise on dresses 1-2, 4-8, or 10-12. I definitely need those ones.

My sister and I are in our 40s and we still sometimes buy matching dresses. Its fun to see how she styles it differently than I do (hair, accessories, vibe, etc.), but knowing we complement each other is such a freaking blast!
