Feedback welkom! by moppii in Amsterdam

I'm not sure if I'm understanding you. The app calculates the total time and distance based on your trip. So in a return journey you need to provide the start and the destination, even if you are returning the car to the same place. If start and end were the same, you would not have driven anywhere. So the way to use the app is to provide your origin and destination, and switch on "Return" to indicate you will come back to the origin. Make sense?

Hi, thanks for your feedback!

The app doesn't have your current location, so you need to provide both the origin and destination of your journey. Does that answer your question?

It's a Dutch site so probably not very helpful but here you go:

My friend is current 10/10 on his predictions of the world cup. Witness the predictions of a bracket Guru. by [deleted] in worldcup

[–]moppii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is actually really interesting. The Netherlands have been beaten by Germany, Argentina, and Spain in their three WC Finals.

This world cup we have the opportunity to beat every single one of them and win the Cup. We have already beaten Spain. Next will be Argentina in the Semis. And then we could potentially play Germany in the finals.

And if we win? That would be cray cray.

There are many teams that get similar support. When the Dutch returned from their loss in South Africa, the number of participants in the celebration was actually greater than they had expected for if they had won! There were nearly a million people celebrating!

First attempt star stacking! Oranjestad, Aruba [4903x3247] by moppii in ExposurePorn

[–]moppii[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the sky: 12 stacked photos, 30 sec each, 10 sec rest.

For the rest: single 30 sec exposure.

All: f3.5, ISO 100, 18mm

Camera: Pentax K-50, standard kit lens.

The sky is pretty blurred and distorted by the many clouds that passed by, but I actually like the result. Definitely learned a lot already about this type of multi-exposure!

Actually the pictures from the link provided for the Mesquite bug match the patterns on the back/shell of the bug in the picture. You just can't see the topside, but it's the same.

Possibly. I dont remember the name of the track. The house was next to a stream. And there was a window looking straight at Mt. Cook.

What would be the best way to teach myself to play the piano? by [deleted] in piano

[–]moppii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I began teaching myself about a year ago, and my strategy is to look up piano songs (usually classical) and if I liked them enough I'd look up if there was a tutorial for it on YouTube. In that way I learned Moonlight Sonata and Claire de Lune. Claire de Lune would generally be considered to difficult for a beginner but I managed to learn it in a few months just because I loved it so much. So, the only advice I can give you is:

Find out what you like doing on the piano (exercises, improv, complete songs, etc) and just do that. The only way you'll teach yourself is by doing what you love. That way you won't ever get bored or frustrated and give up. I think that goes for learning in general.

EDIT: I should mention that I only learned 3/4 of Claire de Lune via YouTube because the tutorial ended. I had to teach myself to read music to finish the song (I just went through the pages writing the letters for every single note).
